Examination Pattern for JEE main 2017

The JEE Main 2017 examination will consist of two papers; Paper I (B.E. /B. Tech) and Paper II (B.Arch. / Planning). Candidates may opt for Paper I or Paper II or both as per the courses they are seeking admission to. The mode of Examination for both the papers is provided below.  However, the candidates should note that the details given here are based on the JEE Main 2016 Exam Pattern. We will make changes in the JEE Main 2017 Exam Pattern and update the article after the release of the JEE Main 2017 Information Bulletin.

The paper I will be conducted in two separate modes. One is the offline mode (Pen and paper Based Examination) and the other is the online mode (Computer Based Examination). The candidates have to opt for either of the two modes during the time of registration.
The subject combination is Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. There will be 30 objective type questions with equal weightage to each subject.
Out of the four given response in each question, there is only one correct response. The correct answers will be allotted 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for indicating wrong answer of each question.

JEE Main 2017 Exam Pattern- Paper II (B.Arch. / B. Planning)

Paper II question paper will be available only in offline mode.
Subjects and type of questions: The subject combination is Mathematics Part I, Aptitude test Part II and Drawing test Part III. The Mathematics and Aptitude section will contain 30 objective type questions whereas the Drawing section will contain 7 questions out of which candidates will need to attempt any two.
Note: As per the JEE Main 2017 Exam Pattern the time limit, language and marking scheme is similar to that in Paper I.
