IIT Kanpur released Branch -Wise Exam Date for GATE 2023

 

GATE Exam Date 2023 – IIT Kanpur has released the branch -wise examination schedule for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023. The GATE 2023 exams will begin on February 4, 2023 and will continue till February 12, 2022. The aptitude test will be held on February 4, 5, 11 and 12, 2023.
 
GATE 2023 will be held in two slots – the first from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and the next between 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. 
 
GATE is conducted online (computer-based test) for admission to Masters programs and for recruitment to some public sector companies. The GATE 2023 paper will be of objective type comprising three patterns of questions — multiple choice questions (MCQs), multiple select questions (MSQs), and numerical answer type (NAT) questions. For every wrong answer marked in an MCQ, negative marks will be cut, while for MSQs and NATs, there will be no negative marking for a wrong answer.

IIT Kanpur has also issued a notification for withdrawal of the international examination centre. As per the notice, GATE 2023 Examination will not be conducted in Centres at Dhaka (Bangladesh), Kathmandu (Nepal), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Male (Maldives), Port Louis (Mauritius), Singapore (Singapore) and Thimphu (Bhutan). due to operational issues. In Dubai (UAE) the examination on 5th February (for papers BM, CY, EC, EE, ES, XH) and 12th February 2023 (for papers CE1, CE2, MN and ST) will not be conducted.
 
Candidates registered to appear for examinations in these centres can withdraw their GATE 2023 candidature and get the refund of application fee or they can select one of the cities available in India. Their original application fee will be refunded, however they have to pay fees for PER PAPER as follows:
 
For Indian Nationals:

  • Rs. 850/- for SC/ST/PwD and Female candidates
  • Rs. 1700/- for all others

For Foreign Nationals:

  • Rs. 1700/-
