UPSC CAPF Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification

 

  • Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a university established by an Act of the Central or State Legislatures in India, or from another educational institution established by an Act of Parliament and declared to be deemed as a university under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or an equivalent qualification.
  • If a candidate is awaiting results, he or she may apply for UPSC CAPF test. The application, however, would be deemed provisional till the individual submits the official results to UPSC.
  • An NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate will be advantageous. These qualifications will be considered only during the interview/personality test.

UPSC CAPF Eligibility Criteria: Number of Attempts

To be eligible for the UPSC CAPF Exam, applicants with tattoos on their bodies must meet the following conditions.

  • Because India is a secular country, the religious sensibilities of its residents must be respected; so, tattoos depicting religious symbols or figures, as well as the name, are permitted, as is the case in the Indian Army.
  • Tattoo Placement: Tattoos on conventional body parts are acceptable, such as the inside aspect of the forearm (but only the left forearm, as it is a non-saluting limb) or the dorsum of the hands.

General Eligibility for UPSC CAPF for Physical Test

 

  • Speech should be free of impediments, with no stammering.
  • The individual should not have any signs of a chronic disease such as tuberculosis, arthritis, high blood pressure, diabetes, bronchial asthma, or heart disease.
  • There should be no palpable or visible glandular swelling elsewhere on the candidate’s body.
  • The chest should be well-formed, with no abnormalities such as a flat chest, Pigeon chest, or shaky rosary effects. The heart and lungs should be in good working order.
  • Limbs, hands, and feet should be well-formed and fully developed, and all joints should move freely.
  • There should be no old/malunited bone fractures.

CAPF Application Form 2024

UPSC CAPF 2024 application forms will be accessible on UPSC website beginning in April 2024. UPSC CAPF Exam Pattern 2024

UPSC CAPF written examination to be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission comprises two papers. 

Paper 1 will be held from 10 a.m. to 12.00 Noon 

Paper 2 will be held from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. 

 

Candidates are given 2 hours time to complete 200 questions in Paper 1 carrying 250 marks and 3 hours to complete 6 descriptive type questions in Paper 2 carrying 200 marks.

UPSC CAPF Cut Off 2024

The UPSC releases the cutoff marks in two stages. They are the CAPF Written exam Cutoff and the CAPF final cutoff. The cutoff of Paper I is calculated out of 250 marks. Then a combined CAPF cutoff of papers I and paper II is calculated out of 450 marks.
