NMAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

In addition to the above mentioned NMAT 2024 Eligibility criteria, there are certain clauses and key requirements that also need to be fulfilled so as to be eligible for the NMAT 2024 exam:-

 

  • Eligibility for Full-Time Programs: Candidates appearing for their Bachelor’s Degree final examination are eligible to apply for all full-time programs. However, provisional admission is contingent upon successfully clearing the final examination with the stipulated aggregate marks. Selected candidates must submit all necessary original documents within the specified time.
  • Preference for Work Experience: Candidates with two or more years of post-qualification work experience are preferred for all Full-Time programs.
  • Examination Completion: Candidates must have completed all subject exams before the commencement of the respective NMIMS programs. None of the subjects should have exams scheduled after the program starts. Candidates should pass all subjects with the minimum stipulated marks in the aggregate. However, if the candidate’s graduating University schedules final year/semester/trimester exams during or after the program’s commencement, the candidate’s eligibility may be considered at NMIMS’s discretion.
  • Mark Sheet Requirements: At the time of admission, candidates must provide semester-wise/trimester-wise/consolidated mark sheets for all college years from which they graduated. Attestation by the Principal with an official seal or self-attestation is mandatory when using internet copies of mark sheets.
  • GPA/CGPA Conversion: Candidates who have graduated from a university with a Grade Point Average (GPA) system must provide the equivalent percentage of their GPA/CGPA, obtained in writing from the university.
  • Verification and Disqualification: Candidates are responsible for verifying their eligibility for admission at NMIMS. Document verification occurs at the time of final admission. Credentials, including work experience, will be verified by a professional verification agency. NMIMS reserves the right to disqualify a candidate at any stage of the admission process if they are found ineligible. In such cases, even if selected and fees are paid, the admission is canceled, and fees are refunded according to prescribed refund rules.

 

NMAT 2024 Registration

The NMAT 2024 Registration is expected to start in August 2024 and end in October 2024. To register for the NMAT 2024 by GMAC exam and schedule your test, follow these steps:

 

Step 1- Registration

  • Fill in your details under ‘Manage NMAT Profile.’

  • Check your email for a verification message and complete the verification process. Make sure to check your spam folder if necessary.

  • Access the Candidate Dashboard by clicking on the “NMAT by GMAC™ Dashboard” button.
  • Complete the application on the Candidate Dashboard, ensuring your name and date of birth match your Photo ID.
  • Select up to 5 programs where you want to send your scores in the School Preferences section. Additional score reports can be sent for an extra fee.
  • Upload a photograph that resembles the one on your Photo ID, which will be included on your admit card.
  • Submit the exam fee payment.

 

Step 2- Scheduling the Exam:

  • After registration and payment, schedule your exam from your Candidate Dashboard, at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Choose your preferred exam mode: test center or online proctored at home. Note that the exam mode cannot be changed for a scheduled appointment, but it can be changed when scheduling a retake.

 

Step 3- Scheduling at a Test Center (applicable for India only):

  • Click “Book Exam” to access the scheduling system.
  • Choose your country, city, test center, date, and time for the exam.

 

Step 3.1- Scheduling Online Proctored Test at Home (applicable for India and worldwide):

  • Click “Book Exam” to access the scheduling system.
  • First, fill out the “My Profile” section before proceeding to schedule your exam appointment.

 

Step 4- Exam Identification:

  • Users must upload a photo ID for verification purposes. Detailed instructions are provided.

 

Step 5- Exam Appointment:

  • Select the date and correct time zone to schedule the exam. The “Begin Test” button will activate at your chosen time.

 

NMAT Retake Registration 2024

For Retakes certain different steps are to be followed as mentioned below:-

 

  • You can take the NMAT 2024 exam up to three times during the testing year, including the first attempt and a maximum of two retakes.
  • Retake registration becomes available on your dashboard after your initial exam. You can register for the retake, select the exam mode, and pay the retake fee.
  • Please note that retakes can only be scheduled with a 15-day gap from the previous attempt.
  • If you were a “NO SHOW,” didn’t agree to the non-disclosure agreement (NDA), or your exam was marked as “Incomplete,” you can schedule a retake immediately for a slot after 24 hours.

NMAT 2024 Exam Pattern

The NMAT 2024 exam pattern consists of three sections: Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning. Each section is separately timed, and candidates must complete the questions in the allotted time. Questions are presented one at a time and are randomly selected from a question pool. The number of questions, their difficulty levels, and time limits for each section are predetermined and remain consistent for all test takers, regardless of when or where the exam is taken. Candidates can choose the order of sections at the start of the exam.

  • There is no penalty for incorrect answers; no marks are deducted for wrong attempts.
  • Unanswered questions do not result in any mark deductions.
  • Once a candidate completes a particular section of the exam, all answers are considered final and cannot be changed.

 

You can take the NMAT 2024 exam up to three times during the testing year, including the first attempt and a maximum of two retakes.

Admission Process with NMAT 2024

The selection process is conducted in person, and candidates must carry their NMAT 2024 by GMAC scorecard. Call letters are not sent via email or post.

 

Weightage: Academic performance and work experience are also considered in the selection process. The final merit list is based on NMAT 2024 scores, personal interview, WAT, psychometric test, work experience, and past academics.

 

Selection Criteria: Selection is solely based on merit, and NMIMS determines the merit list cutoff. For candidates who applied to multiple programs or campuses, selection is determined by their merit score, preferences, and seat availability in the respective program. NMIMS’ decisions in this regard are final and binding.
