CLAT 2024 for UG admissions consists of five sections, each with its own importance. So, candidates need to plan and study for all five sections. Check the pointers below and prepare well for the CLAT 2024.
- Start Early: Starting the preparation early will help candidates complete the syllabus well in time and get time for revision. Learn the topics in-depth and practice CLAT sample papers to understand the types of questions asked in each section.
- Have Complete Knowledge of the CLAT Syllabus and Exam Pattern: A clear idea of what topics to study is fundamental. Thus, understanding the CLAT syllabus and CLAT exam pattern becomes important. Candidates must study according to the prescribed syllabus and segregate the topics depending on their weightage.
- Have a Preparation Strategy: The preparation strategy varies from candidate to candidate, but here are a few tips to help out:
- Segregate the topics based on the weightage of marks, difficulty level and time needed to learn them.
- Closely examine the type of questions asked and the difficulty level of the questions.
- Choose books wisely and refer to the sample papers and previous year’s question papers.
- Start preparing the topics which carry the maximum marks. Collect previous year’s question papers and note the important topics.
- Set long-term and short-term targets and accomplish them. Also, if necessary, candidates must be open to changing their strategies.
- Practice and Revise Regularly: Have a clear understanding of the basics and solve a sufficient number of practice questions. Also, regular revisions help a lot in scoring good marks. Revising the concepts learned will help aspirants refresh the facts they already know.
- Know Weakness and Strengths: Once candidates know their strengths and weaknesses, they can invest more time to learn the topics they are weak at. Besides that, they can study the easy topics completely and attempt these questions first in the exam according to a predefined attempt strategy.
- Solve Previous Year’s question papers: Once done with the revision, candidates should shift their focus to solving the previous year’s CLAT question papers. Solving previous years’ CLAT question papers will help aspirants improve their weak points, note their mistakes and improve their time management skills. Solving previous year’s CLAT question papers gives aspirants a clear idea about the exam pattern, frequently asked questions, weightage of questions, and the marking scheme.
- Mock tests: Candidates can solve CLAT mock test papers as a source of quick revision.
