NBEMS announces National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test – PG (NEET-PG) 2023 for admission to MD/MS and PG Diploma Course, Apply Now

 

NEET PG 2023 –  National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) New Delhi shall conduct the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test – PG (NEET-PG) 2023 on 05th March 2023 for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses.

Scope of NEET-PG 2023

    • NEET-PG 2023 shall be the single eligibility cum entrance examination for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses for the academic session 2023-24 which will include the following:
      • All India 50% quota seats for all States/Union territories of India.
      • State quota seats for all States/Union territories of India.
      • All Private Medical Colleges, Institutions & Universities/Deemed Universities all across the country
      • Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.
      • Post MBBS DNB Courses, Direct 6 years DrNB Courses and Post MBBS NBEMS Diploma Courses
  • The following Medical institutions are not covered by centralized admissions for MD/MS seats through NEET- PG for 2023-24 session:
    • AIIMS, New Delhi and other AIIMS
    • PGIMER, Chandigarh
    • JIPMER, Puducherry
    • NIMHANS, Bengaluru
    • Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum
  • No State Government/Private Medical college/Universities shall be conducting any separate entrance for admission to their MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses for the admission session 2023-24.

 

Important Dates

  • Online Submission of Applications : 7th January 2023 (3 PM Onwards) to 27th January 2023 (Till 11:55 PM)
  • Edit Window for All Payment Success Applications (Any information/documents can be edited except Name, Nationality, Email, Mobile number and Test City) : 30th January 2023 to 3rd February 2023
  • Final and Selective – Edit Window to rectify Deficient/Incorrect Images (No further opportunity shall be given) Photograph/Signatures/Thumb Impression : 14th February 2023 to 17th February 2023
  • Issue of Admit Card : 27th February 2023
  • Examination Date : 5th March 2023
  • Declaration of Result : By 31st March 2023
  • Cut-off date for completion of internship towards eligibility for NEET-PG 2023 : 31st March 2023

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • The eligibility criteria for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses is as follows:
  • Candidates in possession of MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the NMC Act, 2019 and the repealed Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and possessing permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the NMC/the erstwhile Medical Council of India or State Medical Council and have completed one year of internship or are likely to complete the internship on or before 31st March 2023, may apply for NEET-PG 2023 through online application system at website https://nbe.edu.in or https://natboard.edu.in
  • Candidates found to be ineligible at any stage of NEET-PG 2023 will not be permitted to appear in the examination and/or counseling. In an unlikely event of any ineligible candidate appearing and/or being successful in the NEET-PG 2023, the results/ candidature of such candidate shall be cancelled and/or are deemed to be cancelled.
  • Requests for appearing in NEET-PG 2023 from candidates completing internship after 31st March 2023 or having qualifications that are not recognized as per the NMC Act, 2019 and the repealed IMC Act, 1956 shall be summarily rejected. Candidates are further advised not to canvas for the same.

 

Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Medical Graduates

  • Indian citizens or overseas citizens of India who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualifications from Medical Colleges outside India should have qualified the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (Screening Test) as per Screening Test Regulations, 2002 which is conducted by National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences. Further, they should have been registered with the NMC/ the erstwhile Medical Council of India or State Medical Council and should have completed their internship or likely to complete their internship on or before 31st March 2023.

 

Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Nationals:

  • Their basic Medical Qualification equivalent to MBBS should be recognized by the National Medical Commission.
  • Foreign Nationals desirous of appearing in NEET-PG and those, who are required to have security clearance as per the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) requirements, shall obtain the security clearance from Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India before applying for NEET-PG examination. The security clearance shall be required to be submitted while applying for NEET-PG examination.

Application Process

  • Candidates are advised to read the NEET-PG-2023 Information Bulletin will be available at www.nbe.ac.in
  • Application for NEET-PG 2023 can only be submitted online through NBEMS
  • website https://nbe.edu.in and https://natboard.edu.in
  • There is no other methodology for application submission. Application submitted through any other mode shall be summarily rejected. 

 

Examination Fee

    • For General, OBC and EWS – Rs. 4250/-
    • For SC, ST, PwD – Rs. 3250/-
  • Mode of Payment : Through online 

 

NEET-PG 2023 Exam Pattern

  • NEET-PG 2023 shall be conducted in a single day & single session as a computer based examination on 5th March 2023.
  • The examination shall be a multiple choice questions test delivered using computers network (CBT) as per scheme prescribed.
  • The exam comprises of 200 Multiple Choice Questions with each question having 4 response options/distractors in English language only. Candidates are required to select the correct/best/most appropriate response/answer out of the 4 response options provided in each question. Time allotted is 3 hrs 30 minutes.
  • Marking Scheme: Allocation of marks for each MCQ shall be as follows:
    • Correct Response – 4 Marks
    • Incorrect Response – 1 Mark shall be deducted
    • Unattempted Question – Zero
  • Syllabus: The syllabus for the exam shall comprise of subject/knowledge area as per Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by the erstwhile Medical Council of India with prior approval of the Govt of India. 

 

Admit Cards

  • Admit Cards for NEET-PG 2023 shall be available to be downloaded at NBEMS website https://nbe.edu.in from 27th February 2023 onwards.
