UPSC released Exam Dates for NDA 1 and NDA 2 2024

 

NDA 2024 Exam Date – Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the exam date for the National Defence Academy (NDA) Exam Date 2024 for NDA 1 and NDA 2 Exams at the official website: upsc.gov.in. As per the examination schedule released by UPSC, the NDA 1/2024 exam will be conducted on April 21, 2024, and the NDA 2/2024 exam will take place on September 1, 2024.

The Notification for NDA 1 2024 for the 153rd Course and the 115th Indian Naval Academy Courses (INAC) is likely to be released on December 20, 2023. Candidates willing to apply for the same can submit their applications on or before January 9, 2024.

The National Defence Academy (NDA) exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) twice a year. The exam is the gateway for candidates seeking admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NDA, which is located in Pune, as well as the Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) in Ezhimala.

The selection process for NDA involves two stages:

  • Written Exam: The first stage is a written examination that assesses the candidates’ knowledge in mathematics and general ability. The NDA written exam is held in offline mode. A total 270 questions are asked in the NDA exam, out of which 120 questions are for Maths and 150 for general ability. The total marks allotted to the exam is 900 marks. The mathematics paper carries 300 marks, and the general ability test carries 600 marks. The question paper will be in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) format. The duration of the exam is two and a half hours for each subject. The examination paper is available in both English and Hindi. Successful candidates in the written exam move on to the next stage.
  • SSB Interview: The second stage is the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview. This is a comprehensive personality and intelligence test that evaluates candidates’ potential for the armed forces. The SSB interview includes various psychological tests, group tasks, and personal interviews.

Upon successful completion of both stages, candidates are then eligible for admission to the NDA or INAC, depending on their preferences and performance.
