What is GMAT ? Graduate Management Admission Test

GMAT stands for “Graduate Management Admissions Test”. The GMAT is managed by the Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC). Admissions teams evaluating applicants to graduate programs in management use GMAT scores as a key supplemental factor in considering an applicant’s qualifications along with other factors such as undergraduate performance and work experience.

The GMAT is usually taken by students interested in pursuing management programs. These days, there are a few management programs that also accept the GRE scores as evaluation criteria. It is best to check with your prospective schools on their GMAT requirements.

For each question type, the first question posed will be average in difficulty level. If you respond correctly to a question, the next question of that type will be more difficult; conversely, if you respond incorrectly, the next question of that type will be easier.
