PGIMER Chandigarh M.Sc. Nursing Admission 2024 – Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh has invited applications for admission to MSc. Nursing Courses for the academic session commencing from July 2024 Session.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have either a B.Sc. Nursing (4 yrs) / B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic) from an Institution recognized by the concerned State Nursing Registration Council with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
- Should have minimum one year of work experience* after registration as Registered Nurse & registered Midwife by 06.05.2024 (the last date for submission of applications) in bed-side nursing in a minimum of 100 bedded capacity hospital (for private hospitals only) or Public Health Nursing or in Nursing Educational Institutions recognized by the State(s) Nursing Council after obtaining B.Sc. Nursing (4 years) or before and after Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing. The experience certificate in this regard must be on the letter head of the hospital and should clearly indicate the bed capacity of the hospital in terms of number of beds and should be approved by State / Central Govt.(s) failing which experience will not be considered. This period of experience so gained by the candidates in all cases must be after having registration done with concerned State Nursing Registration Council and no prior experience from such date would be taken into consideration for any purposes.
- *Those candidates who are LIKELY TO COMPLETE REQUIRED EXPERIENCE BY LAST DATE OF SUBMISSION OF ONLINE APPLICATION HAVE TO BRING THE EXPERIENCE CERTIFICATE AT THE TIME OF DOCUMENT VERIFICATION as well as COUNSELING. No request for extension to submit the experience certificate shall be entertained.
- Should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife as approved by State Nursing Council or substitute registration in the case of male candidates fully qualified for nursing of men, women and children.
- For Reserved Seats no certificate issued after the closing date will be considered for claiming reservation for SC/ST/OBC/ and PwBD.
Application Process
- A candidate seeking admission to the Entrance Examination is required to submit his/her application in the prescribed format available online with the Prospectus on pgimer.edu.in
Online Registration
- After selecting the online registration, fill the mandatory details asked for and deposit the prescribed fee through debit/credit card/Net Banking.
- After submitting fees, filling the required information step by step. Follow the Instructions carefully.
- It will be the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that correct details are filled in the Registration Slip
- No candidate should register more than one application.
- All applicants are required to ensure that Photo/Signature is uploaded according to the instructions provided in the Prospectus. Failure to do so may result in rejection of applications.
Application Fee
- For SC/ST Category : Rs. 1200/- + Transaction Charges as applicable
- For General /OBC/Sponsored Category : Rs. 1500/- + Transaction Charges as applicable.
- Persons with Bench-mark Disabilities (PwBD) are exempted from payment of fee.
- Mode of Payment : Through Debit / Credit Card / Net Banking
Selection Process
- The selection will be made strictly in order of merit of the candidates in the respective merit lists of entrance test.
- An overall merit list based on the percentile obtained by all the candidates appearing in the entrance examination (irrespective of their category) will be prepared. Candidates of various categories who secure percentile in the theory examination, as mentioned against each category, will qualify for admission:
- General category : 50th percentile
- SC / ST / OBC & PwBD : 45th percentile
- In the matter of selection, the decision of the Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh shall be final.
