GATE 2024 Result
GATE Result 2024 will determine your future career prospects as a scorecard is a performance indicator of any examination. GATE 2024 Result will be announced through GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) on March 16, 2024. Candidates who qualify GATE 2024 exam would be allowed to enrol in various M.Tech programmes. Many PSUs also hire candidates on the basis of GATE Scorecard. The GATE Scorecard 2024 will be available for download on the official website by last week of May 2024. The GATE Counseling Process will begin after the announcement of results.
GATE 2024 Result Date
IISc Bangalore will announce Gate 2024 Result on 16th of March 2024 on the official website i.e. gate2024.iisc.ac.in. Candidates who appeared for the examination will be able to download the GATE Scorecard from 23rd March 2024 to 31st May 2024. No fee shall be charged from candidates who download their scorecards between these dates. However, post 31st May 2024, candidates will have to pay Rs. 500 to download their GATE 2024 Scorecards.

How to Check GATE Result 2024?
GATE 2024 Results will be made available online by IISc Bangalore. To view their results, candidates must go to the GATE website. Candidates will need to check in using valid credentials in order to see the GATE result 2024. Candidates may check out the instructions for downloading the GATE 2024 results below.
- Visit the GOAPS 2024 portal on the website gate2024.iisc.ac.in
- Now, login using your valid credentials.
- Click on the ‘GATE 2024 result’ tab.
- GATE 2024 result will appear on the screen. The qualifying GATE cutoff 2024 will be mentioned along with the candidate details and marks scored.
Note: Candidates are advised to check the details mentioned in the GATE result 2024 carefully and in case of any discrepancy contact the zonal IIT for correction.
GATE 2024 Scorecard
GATE 2024 Results and Score Cards
GATE 2024 results will be announced on the GATE 2024 website. GATE 2024 Score Cards will be available for download by the qualified candidates. Hard copies of the score card will not be issued. It is recommended that an electronic version of the Scorecard be preserved by the candidates for future use. After May 31, 2024 and until December 31, 2024, a fee of ₹ 500 (Rupees five hundred only) per test paper per candidate will be levied for obtaining the Score Card. From January 1, 2025 onward, Score Cards will not be issued for GATE 2024 qualified candidates.
GATE 2024 Scorecard will be valid for three years from the date of release of Scorecard.Candidates should preserve the soft copy of the GATE scorecard safely for future use. Aspirants can check the steps to download the GATE scorecard below.
How to download the GATE 2024 Scorecard?
- Visit the official website https://gate2024.iisc.ac.in/ .
- Then click on the GATE scorecard 2024 tab.
- Login by filling in the valid login credentials.
- After that, download the scorecard.
- Check all the details carefully and keep the scorecard safe for future use.
In case of any discrepancy in the GATE 2024 Scorecard, contact the zonal IIT for correction immediately.
GATE 2024 Score
After evaluating the answers, the actual (raw) marks obtained by a candidate will be considered for computing the GATE score. For multi-session test papers, the raw marks obtained by the candidates in different sessions will be converted to normalised marks for that particular test paper. Thus, raw marks (for single session papers) or normalised marks (for multi-session test papers) will be used for computing the GATE score, based on the qualifying marks.

The GATE 2024 score will be computed using the formula given below.
Calculation of Normalised Marks for Multi-Session Papers
In GATE 2024, some test papers may be conducted in multiple sessions. For such papers, a suitable normalisation is applied to take into account any variation in the difficulty levels of the question papers across sessions. The normalisation is done based on the assumption that in multi-session GATE papers, the distribution of abilities of candidates is the same across the sessions. This assumption is reasonable since the number of candidates appearing in multi-session papers will be large and the procedure for allocation of candidates to sessions is random. Further, the number of candidates allotted in each session of the multisession paper is comparable.
Based on these considerations, the following formula is used for calculating the normalised marks for the multi-session papers.

GATE Result Statistics 2023: How many students appeared for GATE 2023?
Around 6.70 lakh students registered for GATE 2023 out of which about 5.17 lakh appeared for the exam. Of them, around one lakh candidates qualified the GATE 2023. The pass percentage was nearly 18 per cent.

GATE 2024 Counselling
In accordance with GATE 2024 , applicants seeking admission to IITs must register for COAP; however, for admission to 52 NITs and CFTIs, CCMT counselling is held. For GATE, there isn’t a centralised counselling procedure. Additionally, based on GATE results, government and private colleges perform their own counselling.

FAQs for GATE Result 2024
Q. How can I download my Scorecard after May 31, 2024?
Ans. From June 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024, the GATE 2024 Scorecard can be downloaded from GATE Application portal by paying a fee of INR 500/-. From January 1, 2025, the GATE 2024 Scorecard will NOT be available.
Q. Who is eligible to get Scorecard?
Ans. The GATE 2024 Scorecard will be available ONLY for the candidates who have secured marks more than or equal to the qualifying marks mentioned for SC/ST/PwD category of that paper. Other candidates will NOT get any scorecard for GATE 2024.
