Structure of the MCA Programme: The MCA program is of three year duration divided in to six terms of 19 weeks each. The 19 weeks consists of 15 weeks of teaching, two weeks of preparation for examinations, and two weeks of examination days

Procedure for Admission: The information and the rules given herein are applicable for a combined test for admissions to the first year of three years full time Master of Computer Applications (MCA) Post Graduate Degree Programme of Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune conducted at

The seats will be filled on merit based on their performance in B-CAT 2012 test conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth University at the designated centers

One seat over and above the sanctioned intake of the programme at each center is reserved for sons and daughters of migrants from J&K valley, Defence and Civil Service personnel engaged in fighting against terrorist activities in J&K valley

The candidates to be admitted against these seats must have appeared at the B-CAT 2012 conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Pune

15% seats are reserved in each college and in each branch under Foreign/NRI/PIO merit category

Candidates seeking admissions to the seats of this category will have to apply to the Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune

Seats remaining vacant after allotment to Foreign/NRI/PIO students will be allotted to Indian students under regular merit category on the basis of merit based on the marks obtained by them in B-CAT 2012

The last date for submission of form to this category is 17th April, 2012, before 5.00 p.m.

Eligibility: Admission to the course is open to any graduate (10+2+3) of any recognized university satisfying the following conditions

The candidate should have secured at least 50% (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate at graduate level university examination

The knowledge of Mathematics/Statistics at XII level or higher level is essential except for BCA, B.Sc (Computer), BCS graduates

Subject to the above conditions, the final admission is based solely on the merit at the All India Entrance Test (B-CAT) conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune

Candidates who are presently studying in the final year of Bachelor’s degree course can also appear for the entrance test and seek admission for MCA programme in the year 2012-13

However, they are eligible for admission only if the examination of all semesters/years (regular as well as backlog) including theory, practical and project viva will be completed by 31st May, 2012

The results of all semesters will be available by 30th June, 2012, and the last date to submit all the certificates in original shall be 25th August, 2012

If the certificates are not submitted by the said date, the eligibility will not be granted and the admission would automatically stand cancelled

The candidate should be an Indian national

Nature of Entrance Test B-CAT-2012: All candidates desirous of taking admission for MCA Programme must appear for B-CAT-2012

The entrance test B-CAT-2012 for admission to MCA Programme is a common entrance test for all the institutes of Bharati Vidyapeeth University

It will be conducted on 22nd April, 2012 from 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m

The duration of the B-CAT-2012 test will be for two and half hours

The B-CAT-2012 test will consist of in all 200 marks. It consists of 200 multiple choice questions one mark each with four alternatives with only one correct or most appropriate answer

There is no negative marking

Mathematics at Xth level (30 questions); Mathematics at XIIth level (30 questions); Logical and Abstract Reasoning (40 questions); Verbal Ability and Reading comprehension (40 questions); Fundamentals of Information Technology (20 questions); C Language concepts (40 questions); Total 200 questions

B-CAT-2012 Test Centers: Pune, New Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Karad, Kolhapur, Sangli, Solapur, Lucknow

The authorities of Bharati Vidyapeeth University, however, reserve the right to make suitable change in center venues or schedule of B-CAT-2012 test subject to exigencies of the situation

Application Procedure: A candidate desirous of seeking admission to MCA program should submit the application form, filled on line. If payment is done through demand draft the send this form along with demand draft of Rs 1,700/- towards Form fee + entrance test fee through bank draft on any scheduled Bank on any branch of Bharati Sahakari Bank Ltd drawn in favourof the Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, payable at Pune

The completed application form along with payment of entrance test fee is to be submitted to the Admission Office, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Bharati Vidyapeeth Bhavan, L.B.S. Marg, Pune-411030 either in person or through Post/Courier. If payment is done through Master/Visa card then do not send this form to our office. Instead you must bring this form duly signed and a pasted photogram to the examination hall

The last date of submission of application form will be 17th April, 2012 by 5.00 p.m.

The University will not be responsible for any delay or loss of application/admission card/counselling letter/any communication in transit. Such delay will not be condoned

On-line Application Procedure: A candidate desirous of filling online application forms for MCA should visit the website www.bvuniversity.edu.in, or www.bharatividyapeethuniversity.net

The last date of submitting the application form is 17th April, 2012

There are two options available for payment of entrance fees

Payment through demand draft (DD)

Payment through payment gateway credit/debit master/visa cards. Kindly note that the candidates opting for this payment mode should not send his form to this office. Instead he/she should carry the form at the examination hall along with two passport size photographs. Please submit this form to the invigilator

Those who are opting demand draft as payment mode for CET on-line registration, select demand draft as payment option

You are requested to the see table of contents for examination and identify your course

The amount shown in the columns of demand draft should be noted. You are requested to draw a demand draft of this amount from any nationalized bank in favour of the registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University payable at Pune

You are requested not proceed further unless you have a demand draft

Select I Agree and click next button

Select whether the examination is under graduate (UG) or post graduate (PG)

System displays/shows the table of various examinations. You are requested to the select the requisite course by clicking Register Link to fill online CET Registration form

You are now starting to fill the CET on-line registration form

On-line registration form is divided in to following four parts

Payment details-demand draft details such as demand draft number, demand draft date and Bank details

Personal details-Your name should be same as from Xth standard, mark list

Parents Information

Candidate has to read instructions given the agreement carefully, select I agree and click next button to start CET on-line Registration form

After you enter all necessary information through these screens the system will display the preview of the completed form in read only mode. For any corrections, use previous button to go to appropriate screen and make corrections

Finally if you are satisfied with the entered information through preview mode, click on the submit button. The filled form in PDF format will be generated

In case of unforeseen events (power failure, disconnection of Internet etc please re-enter the form again from beginning

The filled form in the PDF mode is displayed on the screen. You must take the print copy of this form, paste a photograph and make a signature at appropriate place provided in the form

Please write form number, course name, candidate name and contact number on the back side of the demand draft and attach to the form, put it in envelope and send this to the following address

Once the form is received by the office we will process the same and send E-mail containing the admit card and a soft copy of the brochure to the E-mail address provided by the candidate in the application form

A separate print copy of admit card will also be mailed to you by post

The admit card contains the following information, form number, roll number, date and time of entrance test, candidate name and postal address

Candidate should paste his passport size photograph (scanned/Xeroxed photographs are not accepted) on the admit card at appropriate and sign on it at a place provided in the admit card. It is mandatory for the candidate to carry a valid photo identity proof (like college Identity card, driving license, PAN Card etc) while appearing for the examination

Issue of Admission Cards: Admission cards for B-CAT-2012 test will be dispatched by post to the candidates under the certificate of posting. The same may be e-mailed to you on the e-mail ID specified in the form. The admission card will indicate Roll Number and Test Center allotted to the candidate with its address

The candidate must not mutilate this admission card or change any entry, made therein, after it has been authenticated by authorities

In case the admission card is not received by the candidate, by 20th April, 2012 he/she should contact at the office of concerned designated center or Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune one day prior to test during working hours for collecting duplicate admission cards. In such a situation candidate should bring two copies of the same photographs along with him/her and a proof of submission/mailing of the application form

Declaration of Result: The merit list of B-CAT-2012 Entrance Test (Based on 200 marks) will be declared on 14th May, 2012

The merit list for all the institutes together will be declared

The merit lists of B-CAT-2012 of entrance test will be declared and displayed at all the Institutes of Management of Bharati Vidyapeeth University and will also be displayed on its website

It is not possible to send individual invitation for counselling to the candidates

It shall be the responsibility of the individual candidate to see his own merit number and appear for the counseling at the centre of his/her choice as per schedule

Selection for Admission: A candidate desirous of seeking admission to MCA programme should fulfill the minimum eligibility condition.

He/she must have appeared for the B-CAT-2012 test conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune at designated centres

The candidate shall be offered admission on the basis of his/her rank in the final merit list (prepared on the basis of the marks scored at B-CAT-2012 test) and availability of the seats for the programme at a particular centre at the time of counseling and admission in the concerned institute

In the case of candidates securing equal aggregate marks their relative rank will be determined on the basis of following order of preference

In case of candidates scoring equal number of marks in B-CAT-2012, the candidates will be ranked according to the percentage of marks scored in aggregate at the HSC or its equivalent examination

If equal, the candidates will be ranked according to their percentage of marks scored in aggregate at SSC or its equivalent examination

If equal, their relative rank will be determined on the basis of computerized radon numbering

Counseling and Spot Admission: The counseling and on the spot admissions session will be held at IMED, Pune for all the institutes offering MCA programme at Pune, Kolhapur, Sangli, Karad and Solapur

The counseling schedule will be as follows

Counseling and spot admission 19th May, 2012, 10.00 a.m.

Institute and Place for Counseling and Admission: IMED, Pune (for admission to Institute at Pune, Kolhapur, Karad, Sangli and Solapur)

The following certificates in original along with duly attested three copies each of the same are to be submitted at the time of counseling and spot admission. Since the originals are to be submitted, the candidates must have two/three copies of all certificates, statement of marks of all semesters I to V, statement of marks of semester VI, if available, Passing/degree certificate (last qualifying examination), migration certificate from the University from which the candidate has passed the last examination (other than Bharati Vidyapeeth), transfer/leaving certificate from the college last attended, Character certificate from Principal of the College last attended, Affidavit regarding Gap in education on Rs 20/- stamp paper if applicable, caste certificate (in case of SC/ST candidates), caste validity certificate (for SC/ST candidates), change in name certificate (if any for married female students), demand draft of the requisite fees as per the fee structure, 4 passport size recent photographs
