VIT University 5 Year Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) Programme 2017 - Notification, Dates, Eligibility Conditions, Application Process

VIT University has issued notification for admission to B. Arch Programme for the academic year 2017. Candidates seeking admission to B. Arch Program should have a valid NATA score obtained in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture.

VIT School of Planning and Architecture offers a five-year study program, which aims at graduating students into fully equipped professionals ready for real-world challenges
This is facilitated by a unique Curriculum Applied Learning (CAL) teaching process, which enmeshes the best of design, technology and practical application methodologies

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have studied in regular, full time and formal education alone are eligible to apply

Candidate must possess 60% marks in overall aggregate with Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or equivalent

Candidate must possess 50% marks in overall aggregate with Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or equivalent

a. For SC/ST candidates

b. For Candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura

Age Limit: Born on or after 01st July 1995

Candidates must have a valid score in the All India National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture (COA), India

NATA exams are to be conducted at national level in major cities as exam centers and the result will be announced by NATA (in their website www.nata.nic.in) with the ranking list of the candidate. The eligibility and selection process considering the NATA score will be subject to any changes that NATA/COA (Council of Architecture) may propose for institutions to follow, in the current Academic year

Admission Process

Selection is based on merit. Marks secured in higher secondary school examination and eligible NATA score

There is No Entrance Examination

Admission will be done on Merit basis for which the merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in qualifying examination and NATA Test

The candidates short-listed based on their merit will be called for the counselling

Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply

Application Procedure

Application form can also be downloaded from website www.vit.ac.in. The cost of application is Rs.1100/- (including Service Tax) (application cost is non-refundable)

Enclosures

To be submitted with the filled in application form; kindly send the hardcopy of the filled-out application form, along with the below enclosures (a) Age proof Certificate/X marks sheet Copy; (b) XII mark sheet of all attempts; (c) NATA Score card
