About Mizoram University
- Mizoram University was created by an Act of Parliament (No. 8 of 2000) and it became functional from 2nd July, 2001. Mizoram University was accredited ‘A’ grade by NAAC in 2014 and 2019. It was also awarded ISO Certification in 2018. The University was ranked as one of the top 100 Universities in India, assessed by the NIRF rankings from 2016 to 2023 under MHRD. It is an eco-friendly University and is one of the first Universities in the country to run effectively on Solar Power System. The Academic Buildings, Hostels, Administrative Blocks and the streetlights within the Campus are all supported by the Solar photovoltaic power plant for electricity.

Important Dates
- Last date of submission of ONLINE application form: 22/04/2024 (Monday @ 5.00 PM)
- Date of Entrance Examination: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on 28th May 2024 (Tuesday).
- Mode of Examination: To be notified later.
- Announcement of Result:29/05/2024 (Wednesday) (Regular and Lateral Entry).
- 1st Counseling:
- Regular – 29/05/2024 (Wednesday) and 30/05/2024 (Thursday)
- Lateral entry – 23/07/2024 (Tuesday)
Eligibility Criteria
- 4 year B.Tech. Degree course : A candidate who has passed the higher secondary or 10+2 (Class XII) Examination or its equivalent from any recognized board having secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST candidates) shall be eligible for admission in B.Tech. Those appearing in the higher secondary or 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination in 2024 may also appear in MZUEEE-2024 provisionally.
- Age limit : Same as JEE (Main) 2024 (For appearing in the JEE (Main) – 2024, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the class 12/equivalent examination in 2022, 2023, or appearing in 2024 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE (Main) – 2024 examination. However, the candidates may be required to fulfill the age criteria of the Institute(s) to which they are desirous of taking admission.)
- Lateral entry in B.Tech Degree course : 3 year diploma holder in engineering in relevant branch with a minimum of 60% (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST candidates) marks may apply for lateral entry. Those appearing in the final semester examination in 2024 may also appear in MZUEEE 2024 provisionally.
