Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT), Kerala announces Admission to M.Tech. Program 2019

FISAT MTech Admission 2019 - Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT) Business School invites applications for admission to its Master of Technology (M.Tech), Post Graduate Program for the academic year 2019-20.

FISAT MTech Admission 2019 Important Dates

  1. Last date of submission of application form: 15th July 2019



Govt. Quota

  1. 50% of the total seats in each of the courses are set apart as Govt. quota seats. Candidates interested in Govt. quota seats have to register their names online in the website of Director of Technical Education (DTE) www.dtekerala.gov.in.as per their notification expected shortly. DTE will prepare a rank list by considering the candidate’s Gate score/aggregate marks obtained up to 6th semester in qualifying degree examination.
  2. Candidates qualified in ranking by DTE have to submit their applications directly to FISAT for admissions. FISAT will publish a merit list from the applications received, based on the ranking by DTE, and the seats will be filled on inter se merit, observing the Reservation Rules as per G.O (P)208/66/Edn. dated 02-05-1966. G O (MS) 95/08/SCSTDD dated 06-10-2008 and as modified from time to time by the Govt.


Management Quota

  1. The remaining 50% seats are under management Quota. Admission to Management seats is conducted by the Management. Admission is strictly on the basis of merit. Applications are available at the college office on request. Candidates need to submit only one application for Govt./Management Quota.

Eligibility Criteria for FISAT MTech Admission 2019

  1. Eligibility will be subject to the rules and regulations of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) /AICTE/Govt.
  2. The candidates should have studied in the graduate course in an institution approved by the AICTE/Deemed Universities and must have scored minimum of 60% marks in Graduate Degree examination in the appropriate branch of engineering.
  3. For SC/ST candidates, a pass in the above mentioned degrees is sufficient.
  4. The candidates shall be an Indian National.
  5. Candidates who have degrees awarded from other Universities shall submit Eligibility Certificate as well as Migration Certificate at the time of admission.
  6. Valid GATE score
  7. In the case of non GATE candidates, procedure followed in Govt. will be considered.
  8. Candidates who have appeared for the final examination can also apply provided he/ she has passed all the subjects up to and including the 6th semester exam. Such candidate shall submit self attested copies of all mark lists up to 6th semester along with the application. Selection of such candidates shall be subject to the production of qualifying degree satisfying clauses (1.1 to 1.6)
  9. Admission procedure is subject to modification as may be deemed necessary subject to further orders, if any, passed by appropriate authorities.


FISAT MTech Admission 2019 Application Process

  1. Candidates, who wish to apply, need submit only one application offline to consider for both Management/Govt Quota.
  2. Candidates can download the application from the link: http://fisat.ac.in/pages/m.tech-admission-online-registration
  3. Download the application form from the “Download offline Application” link. The application form needs to be filled up with ballpoint pen.
  4. The filled up application form along with the application fee as Demand Draft (DD) for Rs.350/- and all necessary documents should be sent to the postal address of the college.
  5. Application Fee (form, brochure and postage) - Rs.350/-
  6. Mode of Payment: Application fee of Rs.350/- can be paid by DD drawn on a Nationalised/Scheduled Bank, in favour of FISAT, payable at Ernakulam/ Aluva


General Instructions

  1. Affix a passport size (3.5 x 3.5 cm) photograph in the space provided for offline application.
  2. Applications should be complete in all respects. A candidate will be considered for admission, only if he/she has furnished the relevant certificates prescribed in the Prospectus, in proof of eligibility or in support of any claim for reservation, under any category.
  3. Documents or certificates furnished after submission of the application will not be entertained under any circumstances. No opportunity will be given to incorporate any details after the submission of the application.
  4. All basic information required is to be filled in with utmost care. The data provided in the offline application will be used for processing the application.
  5. Applications may be sent to The Principal, Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT), Hormis Nagar, Mookkannoor P O, Angamaly 683577, Kerala.


Fee Structure

  1. Management Quota - Rs.42600/- (total)
  2. Govt. Quota - Rs.46200/- (total)
  3. Note: University registration, Examination fee, Uniform expenses will have to be paid at the time of admission.


Additional Charges

  1. Uniform charges (one time) – Rs.3000/-
  2. Examination Fee – Rs.3400/-
  3. University Registration (one time) – Rs.1000/-
  4. *Students graduated from FISAT will get a scholarship if Rs.5000/- per semester. This will be continued in the higher semesters on the basis of satisfactory academic performance.
