Commencement of online application

Eligibility Criteria for Odisha DET 2020

Admission to 1st Semester of Engineering / Technology

Candidates should be Pass in HSC examination / 10th standard examination conducted / declared equivalent by CSE, Odisha and obtain at least 35% marks in aggregate, securing 30% marks in each subject at the qualifying examination with Maths, Science and English subjects.

Admission to 3rd Semester under Lateral Entry Scheme Candidates

Pass in +2 Science Exam from CHSE, Odisha or its equivalent examination with PCM/+2 Vocational (2 years course) in any Engineering Trade / 2 years ITI in Engineering Trade with pass in HSC exam/10th standard examination conducted/declared equivalent by BSE, Odisha securing 30% marks in each subject at the qualifying exam.

Age Criteria

Minimum 14 years for all courses except Mining/Drilling and Minimum 16th years for Mining/Drilling as on 01st July 2020; no upper age limit.

Outside State Candidates

Outside State candidates fulfilling eligibility are also eligible.

Admission to Film and TV Courses (available at BFPTIO Cuttuck):

For Cinematography /Sound & TV Engineering

10+2 Science from any State Board / ICSE/CBSE or equivalent declared by CHSE. Odisha with minimum 35% marks in aggregate.

For Film & Video Editing

10+2 Science / Arts / Commerce from any State Board /ICSE/CBSE or equivalent declared by CHSE, Odisha with minimum 35% marks in aggregate.

Age Criteria

16 to 28 years as on 01st June 2020; for SC/ST candidates upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years

Admission to Non-Engineering Diploma Courses:

For Modern Office Management (MOM)

Pass in 10+2 Examination from CHSE, Odisha or its equivalent examination in Science / Arts / Commerce recognized by CHSE, Odisha securing 30% marks in each subject at the qualifying exam.

For Pharmacy

Candidates must Pass in +2 Science Examination from CHSE, Odisha or its equivalent examination and obtain at least 35% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics as approved by PCI securing 30% marks in each subject at the qualifying exam.

For HM & CT

Pass in +2 Examinations from CHSE, Odisha or its Equivalent examination with Science / Arts Commerce recognized by CHSE, Odisha and obtained at least 35% marks in aggregate securing 30% marks in each subject at the qualifying exam.

For Beauty Culture (BC)

Educational qualification is the same as the 1st Semester of Engineering / Technology Course.

Age Criteria

Minimum 14 years for BC and 16 years for other as on 01st July 2020; no upper age limit
