Anna University B.E. Admission 2020 – Applications are invited for Admission to Part-Time B.E. (SS) Degree Programs offered in the University Departments of Anna University, Chennai (College of Engineering Guindy and Madras Institute of Technology Campuses).

Duration

The duration of the programme is 3 1/2 Academic years comprising 7 semesters

Class Hours

 Classes will be held from 6.15 p.m. to 9.15 p.m. on all working days and classes may also be held during the day time on Sundays / Holidays at the discretion of the faculty concerned.

Eligibility Criteria for Anna University B.E. Admission 2020

Qualification

Candidates should have passed any one of the 3 years Diploma Course in the appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu from an AICTE approved institution or its equivalent.

Year of passing Diploma

Candidates should have passed the diploma examination in the relevant branch of specialisation at least two years before the last date prescribed for the registration of application.

Place of work

Candidates should be working in a place within a distance of 120 km from the college to which he/she seeks admission so as to enable him / her to attend the classes regularly by 6.15 p.m. and the place of working should be in Tamil Nadu.

Age Limit

No age limit is prescribed for admission to B.E. (Part Time) degree course.

Employment
  1. Candidates who are working professionals at the time of admission alone are eligible.
  1. Candidates should have a minimum of two years full time work experience after successfully completing the Diploma in a registered firm / Company / Industry / Educational / Government and Autonomous organizations in the relevant field in which admission is sought at the time of admission.

Mode of Study

The mode of Diploma study shall be Full Time or Lateral Entry or Part-Time. Candidates studied in distance mode are not eligible

  1. Registration on only one application is sufficient for College of Engineering Guindy campus and Madras Institute of Technology Campus, Chennai
  1. Interested candidates can apply online at the official website https://www.annauniv.edu/
  1. Fill up all the details required in the application form; the name should be entered as in SSLC or its equivalent certificate.

Important Note
  1. Candidates should download the “Intimation of Counselling” (Call Letter) from Anna University website
  1. The dates for original certificates verification, merit list and counselling schedule will be published in Anna University website http://www.annnauniv.edu before the commencement of counselling.
