Eligibility Criteria for Alliance University B.Tech Admission 2020


For B.Tech Program

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Physics/ Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects and must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

JEE (Main); JEE (Advanced); Karnataka CET; COMED-K; Alliance University Engineering Entrance Test; or any other State-level engineering entrance examination.

Those who have appeared waiting for the result can also apply.

For Lateral Entry to B.Tech Program

Through the lateral entry option, candidates are directly admitted to the third semester (second year of study) of the B. Tech. degree course at the Alliance College of Engineering and Design.

Candidates must have Diploma or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university or institution with 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the final year examination (fifth and sixth semesters) and in an appropriate branch of engineering.

Selection Process

  • Selection Process is designed for holistic evaluation of the candidate based on the following parameters: Past Academic Performance,  National Test Scores, Group Discussion, Essay Writing, followed by a Personal Interview.
  • The applicants are shortlisted on the basis of their profiles. They are also expected to meet the qualifying scores in at least one of the entrance exams. Each of the profiles are scored by a panel based on the overall performance and past academic record.
