In this type of counseling candidate can fill, change their choices any time during counseling period. By this counseling he/she can

2. You can have a rough idea about your branch allotment in a particular college

What happens in Off-campus online counseling??
In this counseling all the eligible candidate of CCB can filled their choices and changes them frequently during some allowed period. It is more or less same as final on campus counseling but the difference s that choices are not locked or final you can change them as many times as you want within a given period.
Myth about Off-campus online counseling
1. Most of the students think that this is the final counseling but it is not so even you can change your choices during On-campus online counseling day itself. Or even if you have not attended Off-campus online counseling then you can start it on On-campus online counseling day itself.
2. Most of the student think that the branch that is being shown at the time of Off-campus online counseling is allotted to them finally but it is not so .It gives you only a rough idea about your branch allotment according to your AIR
In some cases student who are going to get admission in IIT or in any other institute take part in Off-campus online counseling and sue to this you ma get wrong result of that because at the time of final counseling these candidate will not be there.
Because of above, most of the students change their choices too frequently that it may affect your branch allotment result. This may be one of the reasons to show you different branch allotted at different time interval

1. You can fill your choices in advance before On-campus online counseling that will escape you by any wrong decision or wrong branch allotment on the final on-campus online counseling

There are three ways to fill choices
1. A particular branch:
If you are interest in a particular branch like Computer science, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical etc.Then you can fill the entire top institute you have selected with your branch preference like

Choice-2 College-Y Computer science
Choice-2 College-Z Computer science
2. A particular college:
If you are interested in a particular college and branch doesn’t matter too much for you then you can fill choice in this way
Choice-1 College-X Computer science
Choice-2 College-X Electronics
Choice-2 College-X Mechanical
3. A particular branch in a particular college:
Most of the students follow this way
If you are interested in this way then you can fill choice in this way
Choice-1 College-X Computer science
Choice-2 College-Y Information technology
Choice-2 College-Z Mechanical
