NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) 2018 Notification, Eligibility, Application, Dates

 

Online applications are invited for NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) 2018 to be conducted by the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology (NERIST) , Nirjuli, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh for Base Module (Certificate Course), Diploma Module & Degree Module Courses in Technology streams and also Degree Module course in Forestry

 

Objectives

To develop human resources at three levels, i.e., Technician, Supervisory and Executive levels for the development of the North Eastern region in particular and the country in general;

To impart quality education with flexible multi-entry/exit systems to cater to the needs of the region; to develop entrepreneurship base in the region; to facilitate competency building in the North Eastern region

 

NEE 2018

The NEE 2018 shall be conducted for admission at three levels/courses viz.
1. NEE-I Base (Certificate) Courses: 200 Seats
2. (i) NEE-II Diploma in Eng. & Tech (Technology Stream) and; (ii) NEE-II (Vocational): Diploma in Eng. & Tech (Vocational): 80 Seats for both
(iii) NEE-II B.Sc. Degree in Forestry: 30 Seats
3. NEE-III B. Tech Degree (Technology Stream): 72 Seats

Eligibility for NEE-I

Maximum Age Limits as on 31st July 2018 is 19 years for the students of the General Category (GE) (born on or after 01st August 1999), 22 years for OBC and female applicants (born on or after 01st August 1996) and 24 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after 01st August 1994)
Academic Qualification: Applicants must have passed Class X / Matriculation/Secondary Exam or an equivalent exam with Science and Mathematics. They should have passed in all the subjects including Science and Mathematics separately
Qualifying Exam:
NEE-I - Base (Certificate) Courses: Class X appeared/passed

Eligibility for NEE-II

Maximum Age Limits as on 31st July 2018 are 23 years for the students of the general category (GE) (born on or after 01st August 1995), 26 years for OBC and female applicants (born on or after 01st August 1992) and 28 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after 01st August 1990)
Academic Qualifications for different schemes/modes of NEE-II:
(i) NEE-II (PCM): Applicants must have passed in 10+2(PCM)/ Higher Secondary (PCM) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM)

(ii) NEE-II (Vocational): Applicants must have passed10+2 (Vocational)/ITI / NERIST Certificate in any one of the branches / trades, viz., [Agricultural Engineering] Farm Equipment (FE) / Food Processing (FP); [Civil Engineering] Construction Technology i.e. Draftsmanship/ Surveyor (CT); [Electronics and Communications Eng] Electronics Technology or Electronics Maintenance (ET/EM); [Electrical Eng] Electrical Technology or Electrical Maintenance (ET/EM); [Mechanical Eng] Mechanical Craftsmanship (MC)/Automobile Technology (AT) and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (R&AC) are eligible

(iii) NEE-II (PCB): Applicants must have passed in 10+2(PCB)/ Higher Secondary (PCB) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB)
Candidates, who are selected for admission to Technology Stream under NEE-II (PCM)/NEE-II (Vocational), shall have the choice of branch during counseling out of the six branches / disciplines, viz., AE, CE, CSE, EE, ECE and ME on the basis of their merit and reservation category

 

Eligibility for NEE-III

Maximum Age Limits as on 31st July 2018 are 40 years for the students of the general category (GE) (born on or after 01st August 1978), 43 years for OBC and female applicants (born on or after 01st August 1975) and 45 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after 01st August 1973)

Academic Qualifications for NEE-III: Applicants must have passed the 3-year Diploma Course from any Govt. recognized polytechnic /institution in the respective or allied discipline/ branch as per the Appendix-III given in this Information Brochure with a minimum of60% marks considering aggregate marks of all the three years’ together/CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale or NERIST Diploma Module with a minimum of CGPA 6.0

Those applicants who do not possess their qualifications as per the disciplines/branches mentioned in Appendix-III are not eligible for the admission

 

Admission Procedure

The NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) is conducted at three Levels viz., NEE-I, NEE-II and NEE-III for admissions to Base Module, Diploma Module & Degree Module of Engineering & Technology branches of Technology stream; and to Degree Module of Forestry stream through NEE-II (PCB)

The selection of candidates is done in order of merit as per the Institute regulations under various reservation categories of the respective states and the Union of India

The notification for NEE-I, II & III is published in national newspapers and regional newspapers of the North Eastern region in the month of December/January every year

 

NERIST Entrance Exam 2018 Online Application Process

Candidates have to apply online only; online submission of the application may be made by accessing the website www.neeonline.ac.in and www.nerist.ac.in
After the successful filling up of the online form, a registration confirmation page will be generated for each candidate bearing a Unique Registration No., which the candidate will use for downloading/printing of Admit Card, etc.

The examination fee may be paid online directly by using Debit/Credit Cards/Net banking

In case of Offline Payment, a Challan Form can be Downloaded from www.neeonline.ac.in and deposit the fee in any branch of Axis Bank; the payment details (deposit journal No) for the Challan form has to be filled up the time of final submission of the online registration form for NEE-2018

Fee Details
Application Fee is Rs.600/-+ bank transaction charges for SC/ST/PD candidates, and Rs.1000/- + bank transaction charges for GENERAL/OBC and all other candidates. Application fee is non refundable

Schedule for Online Submission of Application Forms: 11th January 2018 to 12th March 2018

Date of Uploading of Admit Card in the Website: 24th March 2018

Date of Exam NEE- II & III: 21st April 2018 (Saturday, from 10.00 am to 01.00 pm)

Date of Exam NEE- I: 22nd April 2018 (Sunday, from 10.00 am to 01.00 pm)
