NERIST Entrance Exam (NEE) 2019 Notification

NERIST Entrance Exam 2019 - NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) 2019 is being conducted by the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology (NERIST), Nirjuli, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh for Base Module (Certificate Course), Diploma Module & Degree Module Courses in Technology streams and also Degree Module Course in Forestry.

The NERIST Entrance Exam (NEE) 2019 is for admission at three levels/courses.

  • To develop human resources at three levels, i.e., Technician, Supervisory and Executive levels for the development of the North Eastern region in particular and the country in general; To impart quality education with flexible multi-entry/exit systems to cater to the needs of the region.

NERIST Entrance Examination 2019 Important Dates

  • The beginning of NEE 2019 Application Form Submission: 11th January 2019
  • Last Date to Submit the Online Application Form: 25th March 2019
  • Download NEE 2019 Admit Card: 08th April 2019
  • NEE-II & III Date of Exam: 20th April 2019 (10 am - 01 pm)
  • NEE I Date of Exam: 21st April 2019 (10 am – 01 pm)
  • Declaration of Result: 01st week of May 2019
  • Tentative Date of Counseling: 02nd week of July 2019

 

Eligibility Criteria for NERIST Entrance Examination 2019

  • For all the examinations (NEE-I/ NEE-II/ NEE-III) with any paper code, applicants who are appearing in the respective qualifying exam and whose results are awaited may also appear in the respective Entrance Examination.

 

Eligibility for NEE I

  • Maximum Age Limits as on 31st July 2019 are 19 years for the students of the general category (GE) (born on or after 1st August 1999), 22 years for OBC and female applicants (born on or after 1st August 1996) and 24 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after 01st August 1994).
  • Academic Qualification: Applicants must have passed Class X / Matriculation / Secondary examination or an equivalent examination with Science and Mathematics. They should have passed in all the subjects including Science and Mathematics separately.

 

Eligibility for NEE-II

  • Maximum Age Limits as on 31st July 2019 are 23 years for the students of the general category (GE) (born on or after 1st August 1995), 26 years for OBC and female applicants (born on or after 1st August 1992) and 28 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after 01st August 1990).

 

Academic Qualifications

  • NEE-II (PCM): Applicants must have passed in 10+2(PCM)/ Higher Secondary (PCM) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
  • NEE-II (Vocational): Applicants must have passed 10+2(Vocational) / ITI / NERIST Certificate in any one of the branches/trades, viz., [Agricultural Engineering] Farm Equipment (FE) / Food Processing (FP); [Civil Engineering] Construction Technology i.e. Draftsman ship / Surveyor (CT); [Electronics and Communications Engineering] Electronics Technology or Electronics Maintenance (ET/EM); [Electrical Engineering] Electrical Technology or Electrical Maintenance (ET/EM); [Mechanical Engineering] Mechanical Craftsmanship (MC) / Automobile Technology (AT) and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (R&AC) are eligible.
  • Candidates, who are selected for admission to Technology Stream under NEE-II (PCM)/NEE-II(Vocational), shall have the choice of the branch during counseling out of the six branches/disciplines, viz., AE, CE, CSE, EE, ECE and ME on the basis of their merit and reservation category.
  • NEE-II (PCB): Applicants must have passed in 10+2(PCB)/ Higher Secondary (PCB) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB).

 

Eligibility for NEE III

  • Maximum Age Limits as on 31st July 2019 are 40 years for the students of the general category (GE) (born on or after 1st August 1978), 43 years for OBC and female applicants (born on or after 1st August 1975) and 45 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after 1st August 1973).
  • Academic Qualifications for NEE-III: Applicants must have passed the 3-year Diploma course from any Government recognized Polytechnic /institution in the respective or allied discipline/ branch as per the Appendix-III given in this Information Brochure with a minimum of 60% marks considering aggregate marks of all the three years’ together/CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale or NERIST Diploma Module with a minimum of CGPA 6.0. Those applicants who do not possess their qualifications as per the disciplines/branches mentioned in Appendix-III are not eligible for the admission.

 

NEE Exam Pattern 2019

  • This indicates the test paper subjects, the number of questions in each test paper and marking scheme. For all the exam of NEE (I, II, and III) the questions are of objective type with multiple-choice answers. Candidates shall have to attempt all the questions in all the sections of the relevant paper.
  • For every wrong answer to a question, 25% (¼th) of the marks carried by that question is deducted. There is no deduction of marks for unattempted questions.

 

NEE I

  • It is conducted in one paper of 150 marks of three hours duration. The NEE I question paper will be consisting of three sections.

 

Section and Subject

  • A – Physics: 35 & 35 questions of 1-mark each
  • B – Chemistry: 35 & 35 questions of 1-mark each
  • C – Mathematics: 80 & 30 questions of 1-mark each and 25 questions of 2-marks each
  • Candidates appearing in NEE-I (Paper Code 10) are eligible for admission to Base (Certificate) Module of Technology Stream.

 

NEE-II

  • The NEE-II is conducted with a single question paper of 150 marks of three hours duration. The exam paper consists of either three or four sections with details given below.

 

NEE-II (PCM)

  • Candidates, seeking admission in Diploma Module of Technology Stream, with academic qualification of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics shall have to attempt NEE-II (PCM). Question paper under this scheme consists of three sections viz. Section A, Section B and Section C.

 

Section and Subject

  • A – Physics: 45 & 25 questions of 1-mark each; 10 questions of 2-marks each
  • B – Chemistry: 45 & 25 questions of 1-mark each; 10 questions of 2-marks each
  • C – Mathematics: 60 & 30 questions of 1-mark each; 15 questions of 2-marks each

 

NEE-II (Vocational)

  • Candidates, seeking admission in Diploma Module of Technology Stream, with academic qualification of 10+2 (Vocational)/ITI/NERIST Certificate in any trade shall have to attempt NEE-II (Vocational). Question paper under this scheme consists of four sections viz. Section A, Section B, Section C and Section D.

 

Section and Subject

  • A – Physics: 25 & 25 questions of 1-mark each
  • B – Chemistry: 25 & 25 questions of 1-mark each
  • C – Mathematics: 30 & 30 questions of 1-mark each
  • D – Vocational Subject: 70 & 30 questions of 1-mark each; 20 questions of 2-marks each

 

NEE-II (PCB)

  • Candidates, seeking admission to 4 years’ Degree program in Forestry, with academic qualification of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology shall have to attempt NEE-II (PCB). Question paper under this scheme consists of three sections viz. Section A, Section B and Section C.

 

Section and Subject

  • A – Physics: 45 & 25 questions of 1-mark each; 10 questions of 2-marks each
  • B – Chemistry: 45 & 25 questions of 1-mark each; 10 questions of 2-marks each
  • C – Biology: 60 & 30 questions of 1-mark each; 15 questions of 2-marks each

 

NEE III

  • There will be a single question paper of 150 marks consisting of four sections of three hours’ duration, including one section of the relevant branch subject according to their qualifying exam.
  • Candidates, seeking admission in Degree Module of Technology Stream, with academic qualification of Diploma in relevant branch/discipline, shall have to attempt NEE-III. Question paper for NEE-III consists of four sections viz. Section A, Section B, Section C and Section D.

 

Section and Subject

  • A – Physics: 25 & 25 questions of 1-mark each
  • B – Chemistry: 25 & 25 questions of 1-mark each
  • C – Biology: 30 & 30 questions of 1-mark each
  • D – Branch Subject: 70 & 30 questions of 1-mark each; 20 questions of 2-marks each

 

Result

  • NERIST NEE 2019 results will be declared. Similar to the process of applying and downloading admit cards, it is anticipated that the facility to check result of NEE 2019 is available online at www.neeonline.ac.in

NERIST Entrance Examination 2019 Application Process

  • Candidates have to apply online only; online submission of the application may be made by accessing the website www.neeonline.ac.in and www.nerist.ac.in.
  • Candidates must apply for NEE 2019 in the mode prescribed by the exam conducting body. The forms are made available online at the website www.neeonline.ac.in. There is also a link provided below to fill the application form.
  • Candidates must follow the instructions strictly as appear in the instruction panel.
  • Candidates can fill up the entire form in one session or enter one part of the information and save and complete the same at a later stage within the due dates of filling and submitting the form.
  • Be careful while filling up each of the fields or selecting an option from the drop-down menu such as reservation code.
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in 2019, are also eligible to apply. However, they must produce mark sheets/grade cards/ pass certificates on the day of counseling/admission. Otherwise, their selection will be cancelled.
  • The online application can be done within the dates specified.

 

Fee Details

  •  
  • Application Fee is Rs.600/-+ bank transaction charges for SC/ST/PD candidates, and Rs.1000/- + bank transaction charges for GENERAL/OBC and all other candidates. Application fee is non- refundable.
