Karnataka DCET 2021 – Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) invites applications for the Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET) 2021 for admission to 2nd Year Engineering Courses and for first-year Architecture Course under Lateral Entry Scheme for both Day and Evening Engineering Colleges in Karnataka for the academic year 2021-22

Karnataka DCET 2021 Important Dates

  • Commencement of Entry of Online Application: 31st Aug 2021 from 2:00 pm
  • Last Date to Enter Application details online: 13th Sept to 5:30 pm
  • Last date to pay the fees in the Bank: 14th Sept 2021 at Bank time
  • Downloading of Admission Tickets on or after 11 Oct 2021 from 11:00 am

Eligibility Criteria for Karnataka DCET 2021

  • For B.E Courses (Day Eng. College): Passed any diploma exam or equivalent exam and obtained an aggregate minimum of 45% marks taken together in all the subjects of the final year (Fifth and sixth semester) diploma Examination (Q.E) is eligible for admission to B.E courses, and 40% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Backward Classes of Karnataka candidates.
  • For B.E Courses (Evening Eng. College): Passed any diploma exam or equivalent exam and obtained an aggregate minimum of 45% marks taken together in all the subjects of the final year (Fifth and sixth semester) diploma Exam (Q.E) is eligible for admission to B.E. courses, and 40% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Backward Classes of Karnataka candidates.
  • For B. Arch Course (Only in Day Eng. College): Passed any diploma exam or equivalent exam and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects of the final year (Fifth and sixth semester) Diploma Exam (Q.E) is eligible for admission to 1st year B. Architecture course, and 45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and BC of Karnataka candidates along with 40% marks in NATA conducted by Council of Architecture
  • Note: Candidates who have obtained Diploma in Architecture are eligible only for Admission to 1st Year Architecture engineering course, provided they have valid NATA Score in NATA conducted by Council of Architecture

How to Apply for Karnataka DCET 2021 – Application Process

  • Eligible candidates can apply online only through official website https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/

Steps to follow

  • Step 1: Enter all the details Online by browsing URL on website https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/ by selecting “DCET-2021”
  • Step 2: Upload the scanned copy of recent passport size Colour Photo and Signature in JPEG format separately
  • Step 3: Take the printout of the Challan Copy, which is in Duplicate/Triplicate. Candidates have to pay an amount of Rs.650/- for General OBC (Rs.500/- for SC/ST Category-1 only for Karnataka candidates)
  • Step 4: Candidates have to take the printout of the application form on A-4 Size sheet of paper.

  • For General and OBC Candidates – Rs. 650/-
  • For SC / ST and Category-1 of Karnataka candidates only Rs.500/-
  • Mode of Payment – Through online mode

Karnataka DCET 2021 Exam Pattern

  • Mode of Exam: Offline mode
  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Types of Questions: Multiple Choice Question (MCQ)
  • Total Marks: 180 marks
  • Marking scheme: There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
  • Kannada Language Test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates
  • Duration: 1 hour
  • Total Marks: 50 marks
  • Test center: Bangalore only

  • After the submission of the application form, the candidates can easily download the hall ticket from the official website of KEA. Karnataka DCET 2021 Admit Card is issued at https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/
