Eligibility Criteria
Engineering Programs
- Masters degree (ME / M.Tech) with minimum of 55% marks or 6.25 CGPA in the appropriate discipline.
- Exemption from Eligibility Test: Only those candidates who have valid JRF/CSIR/NET/GATE/SET score shall be exempted from the written test of the Ph.D. Selection Process, and they will be required to appear for the Interview only.
Management Programs
- Masters degree with minimum of 55% marks or 6.25 CGPA in the appropriate discipline.

- Exemption from Eligibility Test: Only those candidates who have valid JRF/CSIR/NET/GATE/SET score or M.Phil. Degrees shall be exempted from the written test of the Ph.D. Selection Process, and they will be required to appear for the Interview only.
Direct Ph.D. Admission after 4-Yr B.Tech
- Admission as per UGC norms (Min. CGPA – 7.5)

Selection Process
- Only Shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview based on the performance in Eligibility Test conducted by SRU. The performance of the candidate in Eligibility Test and Interview including the weightage of research publications and PPT presentation of the proposed research work will be considered for the final selection..
Fellowships
- Financial Support will be provided to full time Ph.D. scholars in the form of Ph.D. AssFinancial Support will be provided to full time Ph.D. scholars in the form of Ph.D. Assistantship, subject to terms and conditions as per University rules.
- INR 25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand per month) to full time Ph.D. scholars in Engineering, Agriculture, Humanities & Sciences and Management.
Note:
- Admission through interviews for recent JRF/CSIR/NET/GATE/SET candidates.
- JRF qualified candidates will receive additional subsistence (7000/-) per month.
- Conditions for continuation and total duration of applicability of the PhD Assistantship shall be as per the PhD regulations of the University.
