Gitam Admission Test 2022 Eligibility criteria

Gitam Admission Test (GAT) is a computer based online test conducted for admission to UG and PG Technolgy and Pharmacy Programs in GITAM University at its Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bengaluru Campuses

GITAM University, established u/s 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, is one of India is premier universities having 34 years of track record in teaching and research of global standards; the University is located in three picturesque campuses at Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

Eligibility Criteria for Gitam Admission Test 2022

For Bachelor of Architecture (BArch)

  • A pass in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA), New Delhi, (or) a pass in Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main -Paper-II (B.Arch.) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in collaboration with Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).
  • Students passed the 10+2 level exam with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate. OR

For Bachelor of Technology (BTech): 

  • Pass in qualifying exam i.e., Intermediate or 12th exam from a recognized central / state board or its equivalent either in 2021 or 2022 and also rank obtained in GAT (Engineering UG) – 2022, subject to the following criteria: 
  • B.Tech. Programs: A minimum of 60% o r 6.0 CGPA (55% in case of CBSE and ICSE) aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry in the qualifying exam.
  • B.Tech. in Biotechnology: A minimum of 60% or 6.0 CGPA (55% in case of CBSE and ICSE) aggregate marks in Mathematics/ Biology, Physics & Chemistry in the qualifying exam.

For Master of Technology (M.Tech)

  • A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam from recognized University and score obtained in GAT (Engineering PG) 2022.

For Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) 

  • A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam with Mathematics/ Biology, Physics & Chemistry subjects.

For Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) 

  • Pass in B.Pharm. from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade and score obtained in GAT (PG Pharmacy) – 2022.

 

GAT 2022 Exam Pattern 

B.Arch

  • Duration of the test is 2 hours. All 100 questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions) with background of B. Architecture. Each question has four options of which one is correct. Each correct answer will be awarded 2 marks. The unanswered questions will receive nil marks.

 BTech, B.Pharma

  • Duration of the test is 2 hours. The test consists of three sections and all questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions). Each question has four options of which one is correct. Each correct answer will be awarded 2 marks. The wrong answer and unanswered questions will receive nil marks.
  • Section A: Mathematics / Biology: 40 questions: 80 marks
  • Section B: Physics: 30 questions: 60 marks
  • Section C: Chemistry: 30questions:  60 marks

M.Tech.

  • Duration of the test is 2 hours. The test consists of three sections and all questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions). Each question has four options of which one is correct. Each correct answer will be awarded 2 marks
  • Section A: Quantitative Aptitude: 40 questions: 80 marks
  • Section B: Reasoning: 30 questions: 60 marks
  • Section C: Verbal Ability: 30 questions: 60 marks

M.Pharm 

  • Duration of the test is 2 hours. The test consists of four sections and all questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions). Each question has four options of which one is correct. Each correct answer will be awarded 2 marks
  • Section A: Pharmaceutics: 25 questions: 50
  • Section B: Pharmaceutical Analysis & Quality Assurance: 25 questions: 50 marks
  • Section C: Pharmacology: 25 questions: 50 marks
  • Section D: Pharmaceutical Chemistry: 25 questions: 50 marks

Mode of Test

  • The test will be held online.
  • Students can give the test through a computer, tablet or a mobile, which should have an internet connection and a working front camera
