B.Tech: Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Biotechnology (BT), Bioinformatics (BI), Civil Engineering (CE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Chemical Engineering (CH)

Admission Procedure

Admission through merit based on overall AIEEE ranking

Biology/Biotechnology students (in 10+2 exams) seeking Admission in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/ Pharmacy programs, based on 10+2 results (Non-AIEEE) should fill in separate/different application form

Merely filling an application form does not entitle the candidate for the admission or ensure call for counseling

The admission and counseling call is purely merit based

No refund of application fee is entitled in case candidate is not called for counseling for failing to qualify in the merit list

There shall be a common merit for the three Institutes

There shall be only one common application form (OMR) for AIEEE rank based admission to all the three Institutes

The students may also apply online through a common application form

In Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and B.Pharmacy Programs only, 50% seats are open for candidates with Biology/Biotechnology with Physics at 10+2 level and shall be filled up directly on the basis of 10+2 score Merit

For this type of entry different and separate application form needs to be filled

In Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and B.Pharmacy programs only, the remaining 50% seats are open for candidates based on AIEEE-2012 ranking

Candidates with Mathematics (and appearing in AIEEE) and, Biology/Biotechnology and Physics combination at 10+2 level can apply for both the options, but must fill up separate application form as prescribed

AIEEE based application form can be obtained by post by sending a demand draft of Rs 900/- in favor of Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, payable at Noida/Delhi

AIEEE based forms are also available through cash/draft at respective Institutes and also selected branches of IDBI Bank/Punjab National Bank and the list of banks as loaded on the website

The form for Biology/Biotechnology/Pharma based application can be obtained only by post by sending a demand draft of Rs 900/- in favor of Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, payable at Noida/ Delhi

These forms are not available at the IDBI Bank

The candidate may also download the Bio based admission form from the websites www.jiit.ac.in, www.juit.ac.in

Application Process: Applications for admission for merit based on overall AIEEE-2012 Ranking

The admissions to the above programs shall be made on the basis of merit drawn on the overall ranking in AIEEE-2012 examination

Candidates must therefore appear in the AIEEE-2012 conducted by the CBSE

Further, the candidates must also fill in the separate OMR based application form, as provided or apply online

Candidate can apply through any one of the three ways

Register Online (using demand draft): Do not forget to post hard copy of the application to Registrar JIIT, after filling the online application

Log on to www.jiit.ac.in and click on AIEEE based admissions-2012 or directly log on to www.getadmissions.com/jaypee

Thereafter, candidate will be prompted to fill up the application

There is an option of attaching/uploading the photograph on the online application itself

In such a case take a print out with photo affixed on the online application and send it to the Registrar, JIIT, along-with the demand draft

In case you are not able to upload the photograph, then you should take a printout and affix recent colored passport size photograph on the printout and send it to the Registrar, JIIT along-with the demand draft

In both cases you should make a photocopy and retain it for your records

The demand draft (DD) should be of Rs 900/- in favor of Jaypee Institute of Information Technology payable at Noida/Delhi

The print out of application along with demand draft should be sent to the Registrar, JIIT, Noida

Do not send the application without ID number which would have been generated automatically on freezing the form while you fill the same on the net

Write the application ID number behind the demand draft also

Write online registration with demand draft on the envelope before posting

Register Online (using net banking/Credit/Debit Card): Log on to www.jiit.ac.in and click on AIEEE Based Admissions 2012 or directly log on to www.getadmissions.com/jaypee

Thereafter, candidate will be prompted to fill up the application and make the payment through credit/debit card/net banking

Once the payment has been successfully made the candidate shall be allotted Application ID number, which must be saved for future reference

There is an option of attaching/uploading the photograph on the online application itself

The printout of the application in either case should be sent to registrar, JIIT, Noida

Write online registration internet banking on the envelope before posting

Application Form: Obtain the application form from any of the Institutes/bank branches of IDBI Bank (candidates who procure the brochure and application form after payment of Rs 900/-, are not required to make any further payment while submitting the application form)

The application form can be obtained by post by sending a demand draft of Rs 900/- in favor of Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, payable at Noida/Delhi

The forms are also available through cash at all the three Institutes

The form may be collected from selected branches of IDBI Bank the list of bank branches as loaded on the web site

It is mandatory to write AIEEE-2012 roll number before submission of application form

Applications received without the AIEEE roll number shall be rejected and candidate shall have no claim for the merit list

Candidates are required to ensure that the completed application form reaches on or before the last date 30th May, 2012

Applications received after the last date will not be accepted and candidate shall have no claim for the merit list

The hosting of the application forms on the website shall be done in phased manner

Therefore the candidates are required to remain in touch with the respective websites of the Institutes for the latest updation and also required to take the necessary action as per the information hosted on the website from time to time

Candidates shall generally be able to see the receipt details of their applications and essential data on the website only after 15th April, 2012 or 15-20 days of submission of the form thereafter

Non receipt of application is responsibility of the candidate

Candidates are also advised to keep the original receipt of the speed post/Regd post issued by the post office and the photocopy of the filled in application form

In any case all issues regarding non receipt of form must be resolved before declaration of merit

The completed application form must be sent to the Registrar, Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, A-10, Sector-62, Noida-201307, Uttar Pradesh

Eligibility Criteria (except for Biology/Biotechnology based admission to Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and B.Pharmacy programs)

The minimum academic qualification for admission to any one of the programs is as laid down by AIEEE

The candidate should have a pass in the 10+2 or its equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science as optional subjects

The 10+2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi; Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University; Final examination of the two year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy; Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian; Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system; HSC Vocational Examination

A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects

3 or 4 year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education

Only those candidates are eligible to apply who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in the year 2010 or 2011; or

Those candidates appearing in the final examination of 10+2 or equivalent in 2012 are also eligible for consideration of provisional admission

All candidates who are offered provisional admission will be required to produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) to the University authority latest by 30th September, 2012 failing which, such provisional admission will stand cancelled

If the results in qualifying examinations are likely to be declared after 30th September, 2012 the candidates are advised to seek admission next year as no representations for extension of dates for any reason whatsoever, shall be entertained

Date of Birth: Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 01st October, 1991 (date of birth as recorded in the High School/Secondary Education Board/University certificate only will be taken as authentic) are eligible to apply for admission

The last date for receiving the completed application form is 30th May, 2012
