Eligibility Criteria for ICTS PhD Admission 2020

For the PhD Program

 

MSc/MS in Physics, or equivalent undergraduate/ master’s program(s) of duration not less than 5 years in total.
For Integrated PhD Program ME/M. Tech/BSc/BS/BE/B.Tech/B.Chem or any other degree in Science, Engineering or Medicine.
The applicant should have completed an undergraduate/ masters program of duration not less than 3 years.

 

ICTS PhD Admission 2020 Application Process

Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website https://www.icts.res.in/graduate-studies/physical-sciences.
You will need to upload the score card from the admissions test (JEST/GATE/UGC-CSIR/GRE; this is not required for the TIFR test) electronic copies of your score transcripts, a statement of purpose, and contact details of two referees.

 

Selection Procedure for ICTS PhD Admission 2020

The first level of selection to the ICTS graduate program is performed using valid scores/ ranks from the following national/ international exams
i. TIFR GS Exam (automatically eligible for shortlist; selection already made and candidates have been informed)
ii. Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST-Physics)
iii. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE in Physics/ Mechanical Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Engineering Sciences)
iv. CSIR UGC NET (Physical Sciences – JRF eligible)
v. GRE (Physics) for overseas students
