WBUTTEPA Kolkata notifies MEd Admission Test 2019 for Admission

WBUTTEPA Kolkata MEd Admission 2019 - The West Bengal University of Teachers' Training, Education Planning and Administration (WBUTTEPA), Kolkata online application for centralized admission to Masters of Education (M.Ed.) Programme is being started on the 03rd June 2019

The intending students may apply online for admission to 2-year M. Ed. Programme in WBUTTEPA (Erstwhile David Hare Training College) and the Govt. / Govt.-aided / self-financed colleges offering M. Ed. Programme in West Bengal (as per list of Colleges)

  1. Online Application starts on 03rd June 2019
  2. Last Date of Submission of Online Application and payment of Application Fee: 14th June 2019
  3. List of Paid Applicants: 04th June to 16th June 2019
  4. Admit Card Generation: 18th June 2019
  5. Date of Admission Test: 27th June 2019
  6. Publication of Merit List on the basis of admission test score: 01st July 2019
  7. Counselling Online: from 02nd July to 03rd July 2019
  8. First List for Eligible Candidates: 04th July 2019
  9. Admission to respective Colleges: 05th July 2019
  10. Commencement of the Classes: 06th July 2019

 

Eligibility Criteria for WBUTTEPA Kolkata MEd Admission 2019

  1. Candidates seeking admission to the M.Ed. programme should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the following programmes:
  2. B.Ed.
  3. B.A. B. Ed., B. Sc. B. Ed.
  4. B. El. Ed.
  5. D. El. Ed. with an undergraduate degree (with 50% marks in each).
  6. Eligible Candidates are to appear at the Admission Test / Entrance Test
  7. Candidates who have appeared / are appearing in the final semester (in all papers) of the eligibility qualification (that is 4th semester B.Ed examination) are also allowed to appear at the Admission test/Entrance Test. However, admission will be offered with the condition that he/she will clear the eligibility qualification with minimum 50% marks failing which his/her candidature will be cancelled.
  8. N.B. Candidates are to bring the original admit card of M.Ed. Admission Test / Entrance Test (to be downloaded) along with the original admit card of his/her 4th semester B.Ed. Examination in the examination hall.

Number of Seats

  1. Number of seats in each college is 50. Reservations will be according to norms.
  2. All the details in this regard will be notified in the website before the date of first counselling.
  3. Deputed teachers serving in substantive posts in Teachers’ Training Institutions will be given preference. These candidates will be selected on the basis of length of continuous teaching experience.
  4. 30% seats will be allotted for Language Group, 30% Science and Mathematics Group and 40% for Social Science Group.
  5. The ratio for Home University students and other University students shall be 80:20

 

Reservation & Relaxation

  1. Reservation of seats for SC/ST/PWD (Minimum disability 40%) candidates will be as per Govt. rules. Relaxation of 5% marks will be admissible as per Govt. rules. The Reservation as stated is not applicable for Self-financed Colleges.

 

Counselling Fee

  1. All the successful candidates will have to pay online Rs. 1000.00 for online counselling that is giving preference for selection of University Department and Colleges.

 

Admission Test/ Entrance Test

  1. There will be a written test of 50 multiple choice questions (MCQ) with full marks 50. Time for the test will be one and a half hour with negative marks of 0.25 for each wrong answer. The questions will be mostly on B. Ed. General Papers.
  2. List of candidates eligible for the Admission Test/ Entrance Test, date, time and venue will be notified on the website.
  3. Candidates are instructed to be in touch with the website
  4. The merit list for admission will be prepared on the basis of scores of the Admission Test/ Entrance Test only.

 

Application Fee

  1. Online application fees for admission to M. Ed. Program
  2. Payment through Debit/Credit Card:
  3. Rs. 750 + Service Charge for students of General / OBC category
  4. Rs. 450 + Service Charge for students of SC/ST/PWD category

 

Counselling Fee

  2. Program Fee - The selected candidates will have to deposit Rs.5000/- (non-refundable) in cash on the spot on the day of counseling for seats-booking and the course fee to be paid to the respective colleges
