  • Science Group - (01) LifeScience, Zoology, Botany, Physiology, Microbiology, Biochemistry and; (2) Physical Science (a) Physics and (b) Chemistry - 06 Seats; (03) Mathematics - 03 Seats
  • Language Group - (01) Bengali, (02) English (03) Hindi - 08 Seats
  • Social Science Group - (01) History, (02) Geography and (03) Political Science - 08 Seats
  • N.B. 20% seats are reserved for other University(Other thanC.U.)candidates. This type of reservation is applicable only for the fresher candidates
  • Reservation of seats for SC/ST/PH candidates will be as per State Govt. Norms

 

Eligibility Criteria

For Fresher Candidates

  • Students from other Universities need to register theirnames under C.U. after admission in the B.Ed. Course.Admission will be made strictly on the basis of academic merit and Gov./C.U. rules and orders

Both for Deputed & Fresher Candidates

  • Student must have 80% of attendance in Theory and 90% attendance in practicum in each course for appearing the exam. Students Who have 79% to 65% of attendance shall apply for Condonation in the prescribed form with the prescribed fee
  • Students who have 64% to 50% of attendance shall apply for Condonation in prescribed form with the prescribed fee along with the Medic Certificate/any other certificate with reasonable ground
  • Students who have below 50% of attendance are not eligible to appear for the exam
  • In addition to the above clause, for B.Ed., to be eligible for filling up forms of 4 semester exam candidate should complete 16 weeks of internship program
  • Submission of all the components of internal assessment(assignments, project etc.) is the essential precondition for appearing semester end exams und normal circumstances

 

Age Limit

  • For Deputed Students General; No Age Bar
  • For General Category - 40 years (As on 30th June 2017)
  • There is relaxation of age for maximum 5 (five) years for students belonging to SC/ST & Physically Handicapped Categories

 

Selection Procedure

  • Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master's Degree in Sciences/Humanities/ Social Science, Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology With specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent there to are eligible for admission to the program
  • Requirement of 50% marks shall not apply for persons appointed as teachers prior to the commencement of the NCTE, (Regulations, Norms & Procedure) Second Amendment Regulations, 2010 as laid down at para 8(i) of the aforesaid Gazette. (relaxation of 5% marks for S.C./S.T. and Physically Challenged Candidates)
  • Candidates not having required percentage may calculate the same taking both Sons. and Gen papers (excluding compulsory papers) together
  • In the two-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Course At case credit tobe calculated against B.A./B.Sc. General. Fresher (Non-Deputed School Teacher)Candidates will be selected on the basis of Academic Merit only
  • According to the Calcutta University rules 80% of the seats are reserved for the Calcutta University candidates (who have obtained last relevant degree from C.U.)

 

Application Process

Step 1

  • Click the Button on Application Form. On clicking the SUBMIT Button a new page will appear. Select the Category. On Clicking the SUBMIT Button an Application Form Will Appear. Fill in the Form(Two Pages)Important:two-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Course Please Note the Form No.

Step 2

  • Click the Application Fee Button. Put Form No. and Select Category. Click onPay Online through SBI COLLECT. Pay the requisite fee online. You will get transaction slip. Note Transaction ID.

Step 3

  • Click the Print Form button. A new page will appear. Put Form No. and Transaction ID. Click on PRINT FORM.Without Transaction ID One will not be able to Print Form.

 

Important

  • Without Application Fee No Form will considered for Admission.Do NOT Deposit the filled-in Form. If selected, then you have to Deposit thePrinted Form along with the necessary Documents during theverification/counselling only

 

Fee Details

  • For Fresher: Rs.30100/-
  • For Deputed: Rs.35100/-
