UCG Scholarship Programme (USP) 2017
Applications are invited by University of Groningen, Netherlands for UCG Scholarship Programme (USP) for students pursuing their Liberal Arts and Sciences , Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) under the college University College Groningen for the session 2017.
The USP scholarship is intended for students with an excellent academic profile, but who require financial assistance to study. Evidence of social engagement and extracurricular activities will support your request for funding. UCG aims to reward students with great ambition, but who also have a great passion for social engagement and who are determined to make a positive impact during their studies at UCG

The value of Scholarships is €12,000
The USP Scholarship is a grant towards study and living costs
Number of Scholarships: 02 full scholarship
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must:
Be a Non-EU students paying international tuition fees
Have an excellent academic profile
Have one of the following English proficiency test scores:
IELTS (Academic): 6.5 – no less than 6.0 on each section
TOEFL IBT (Internet Based Test): 92 – no less than 21 on each section
TOEFL CBT (Computer Based Test): 237 – no less than 21 on each section
TOEFL PBT (Paper Based Test): 580 – no less than 55 on each section
Selection Criteria
For selection, candidates have to submit a letter of motivation to explain why you believe you should be considered for a scholarship describing their experiences with social engagement and extracurricular events and emailed to [email protected]
How to Apply for University of Groningen UG Scholarships
Candidates can apply online for any of the programme
Submit a letter of motivation to explain why you believe you should be considered for a scholarship. This should:
Be a maximum of 500 words in a Word document
Explain why you believe you deserve a scholarship and why you need financial assistance for your studies (this is not why you want to apply for the Liberal Arts and Sciences degree, as you will have already explained this in your application)
Be emailed to [email protected] no later than 01st February 2017 – the email title must be ‘Letter of Motivation – USP Scholarship’
In order to be eligible for this scholarship you must complete your application in OAS before 1 February 2017 as well
