Panjab University announces Entrance Exam for Admission to 3-year LLB Program 2019 

PU LLB Entrance Exam 2019 - Panjab University has released notification for PU LLB 2019 Entrance Exam. The entrance exam is conducted by the Panjab University Chandigarh for admission to LLB (3 years) Course for the academic year 2019-20.

Important Dates for PU LLB Entrance Exam 2019

  1. Date of Availability of Prospectus & Entrance Test Form on the Web: 23rd April 2019
  2. Last Date for Submission of information on the Web to generate the Bank Challan: 29th May 2019
  3. Last date for deposit of fee in any branch of State Bank of India using website generated challan: 03rd June 2019 upto 4:00 p.m.
  4. Last date for uploading of photograph, signature with rest of the information on the website: 05th June 2019
  5. Availability of Admit Card Online Admit Card along with Time & Centre of Exam: 13th June 2019
  6. Date & Time of holding Entrance Test: 22nd June 2019 (Saturday) 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  7. Uploading of Answer Key and inviting Objections (through email only to arcet@pu.ac.in): 25th June 2019
  8. Last date of submission of objections to the Answer Key: 27th June 2019
  9. Uploading of the response to the Objections & inviting Cross-objections (through email only): 01st July 2019

Eligibility Criteria for PU LLB Admission 2019

  1. Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. Professional 3-Year Course) (Semester System)
  2. The Entrance Test for Bachelor of Laws (LLB) shall be open to all such candidates who possess the qualifications as mentioned below:
  3. Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in any discipline with at least 45% marks in aggregate from Panjab University or any other University recognized by Bar Council of India and P.U.
  4. In case a candidates having Bachelor’s degree of this University or any other University recognized by the Syndicate, through Modern Indian Languages Hindi or Urdu or Punjabi (Gurmukhi script) and/or in a Classical Language (Sanskrit or Persian or Arabic), the aggregate of 45% marks shall be calculated by taking into account the percentage of aggregate marks that he had secured at the language exam, excluding the marks for the additional optional paper, English and the elective subject taken together.
  5. *5% concession is admissible in eligibility marks to SC/ST/BC/PwD candidates

PU LLB Entrance Exam Pattern

  1. The duration of the Entrance Test will be of 1 hour and 30 minutes. The Entrance Test will be of 100 marks consisting multiple-choice questions. The objective type questions will be available in Hindi and Punjabi also
  2. The questions will be based upon following three components:
  3. Current Affairs and General Knowledge - 40 Marks
  4. Legal Aptitude - 40 Marks
  5. Reasoning Ability and Knowledge of English - 20 Marks

 

PU LLB Entrance Exam 2019 Application Process

  1. After declaration of result of Entrance Test, the Admission Form shall be available at Panjab University website http://pglaw.puchd.ac.in
  2. Candidates will have to fill and submit an Online Admission Form at http://onlineadmissions.puchd.ac.in on or before the last date as prescribed by University
  3. Candidates who have qualified Entrance Test have to submit duly filled Admission Form, as per the guidelines displayed on the above-said website. Every candidate must indicate in her/his Admission Form the reserved category for which s/he wants to apply
  4. If the category is not mentioned in her/his Admission Form, the candidate will be considered for the General Category only

 

General Instructions

Steps to Follow

  1. Read Prospectus carefully
  2. Register Online
  3. Register Online [last date for registration: 29th May 2019 (Wednesday)]
  4. Note down your Login Id and Password (login details will be sent to your registered Email Id also)
  5. Take print out of bank slip (bank slip can also be downloaded from account using login id and password)
  6. Deposit fee using website generated bank slip at any SBI branch, minimum one day after printing of bank slip
  7. Login again after 24 Hrs. of depositing fee and upload scanned passport size photograph, signature, fill other important information and Save and Confirm. (Once you confirm the form, you will not be allowed to change information in the form)
  8. Download your Admit Card (Bring one photo identity proof like Driving License, Voter Card, Aadhaar Card, Passport etc. at the Examination centre failing which the candidate will not be allowed to enter in the Exam Hall)

Entrance Exam Fee (Non-refundable):

  1. For General Category - Rs.2175/-
  2. For SC/ST/PwD Category - Rs.1088/-
  3. 50% concession for Panjab University regular employees under B & C Class (Senate dated 14.7.2007 vide para No. xxxiii)
  4. Candidate availing concession in the fee under the category SC/ST/PwD OR P.U. Class B/C Regular Employee must send the copy of printout of their filled form alongwith the self-attested copy of:
  5. Category Certificate/ Proforma for claiming 50% concession to P.U. Regular Employees ("B" and "C" Class) duly signed by Head/Chairperson, to Assistant Registrar, CET Cell, Aruna Ranjit, Chandra Hall, Panjab University, Chandigarh-160014 by registered post/speed post or by hand
