School Education Department, Andhra Pradesh announces Andhra Pradesh Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test (AP DEECET) 2024 for D.EI.Ed Admission, Apply Now

 

AP DEECET 2024 – Government of Andhra Pradesh (School Education Department) has released a notification for Andhra Pradesh Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test (AP DEECET) 2024 for admission to 2-years D.EI.Ed Courses offered by Government DIETs and Category ‘A’ and ‘B’ seats of Private Elementary Teacher Training Institutions across the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for admission into D.El.Ed., course shall be as mentioned below:

  • The candidates should be of Indian Nationality and should satisfy the Local / Non Local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of admission) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended from time to time for admission into all seats in Government DIETS and unaided Non-Minority and Minority Elementary Teacher Training Institutions.
  • Candidates should have secured a rank in DEECET-2024 conducted for the for the Academic Year 2024-25 concerned for admission into Government DIETs and Private Elementary Teacher Training Institutions and should satisfy the educational criteria prescribed for the course as shown at (iii) below. Educational Qualifications

  • For seats in all Government DIETs and Category ‘A’ and ‘B’ seats of Private Elementary Teacher Training Institutions
  • The candidate should have passed or appeared for the Intermediate Examination (Qualifying Exam) or its equivalent as decided by the DEECET Committee for appearing at the DEECET. However, he/she should have passed the qualifying examination at the time of admission.
  • The candidates should have secured 50% of marks in aggregate in the Qualifying Examination for appearing in the DEECET for both ‘A’ and ‘B’ category seats. The minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying Examination for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Physically Challenged candidates shall however be 45% for both ‘A’ and ‘B’ category seats.

  • Note: The candidates who passed Intermediate with Vocational Courses are not eligible.
  • Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 1 September of the year of admission. There shall be no upper age limit for admission into D.El.Ed course.
  • The minority status of the students shall be decided as mentioned at Rule 2 (p) of these Rules. (G.O.Ms.No. 30 School Edn Dated 08.07.2015.

 

Application Process

  • Eligible Candidates can apply online only through AP DEECET website https://apdeecet.apcfss.in/ from 24.04.2024 to 09.05.2024.
  • The candidates shall first download the ‘Information Bulletin’ free of cost from the DEECET website https://cse.ap.gov.in & https://apdeecet.apcfss.in and go through it carefully and satisfy their eligibility for appearing for DEECET 2024
  • The candidate has to give the required preliminary data (i.e. Name of the candidate, Date of birth, Gender, whether the candidate belongs to A.P. and mobile phone number)
  • On receipt of fee through gateway the candidate shall be issued a ‘Journal Number’ with which she/he can proceed with submission of application online.

Admission Process

  • The admissions into all Government DIETs and Category ‘A’ seats of the Private Unaided Elementary Teacher Training Institutions shall be made through a Single Window System in the order of merit on the basis of rank assigned in DEECET and to the extent of sanctioned seats through Web Based Admission service provided by the Convener DEECET-2024. 

 

AP DEECET 2024 Exam Pattern

  • The Question Paper of DEECET-2024 consists of 100 marks with objective type questions. The question paper contains two parts, the subject areas and marks allotment is as follows;
    • Part- A (60 Marks)
    • Part- B (40 Marks)

Note:

  • The subject and syllabi of the test shall be of the standard of Classes VI to X of A.P. State New Syllabus for Part-A & A.P. State Intermediate syllabus for Part B
  • The medium of Entrance Test: Question paper is Bilingual method (i.e., English-Telugu, English-Urdu, English-Tamil, English-Kannada, English-Oria). 
  • Medium of course:- The candidates who have studied Intermediate in the English medium, any other medium are alone eligible for admission of seats into DIETs institutions.
  • Selection of medium:-The candidates who have studied SSC/Intermediate in the medium concerned (Telugu, Urdu, or Tamil) or who studied Telugu or Urdu or Tamil as first language in SSC or its equivalent examination or who studied as one of the above languages as second language in Intermediate exam are alone eligible for admission of seats into concerned medium viz. Telugu/Urdu/ /Tamil offered by the Institution concerned.
