EFPO Full Form – Employee Provident Fund Organization or EPFO is a Social Security Organisation. It is one of the world’s largest Social Security Organisation on the basis of clientele and the mass financial transactions undertaken by the organization. EPFO is a legal organization under the Ministry of Labour and Employment of the Government of India. All organizations with 20 or more employees come under EPFO. The organization manages provident funds, meaning that it provides a monetary benefit to all employees after their retirement. It also records and sorts the social security agreements with other countries. One such example of this is that EPFO covers all the international workers in the countries where bilateral agreements have been signed. EPFO was founded on 4th March, 1952, New Delhi. It has its headquarters in its place of origin only.
