UP B.Ed. Joint Entrance Examination 2023

 

The Uttar Pradesh B.Ed Entrance Exam is conducted by the Universities in Rotation. In 2023, this exam  will be conducted by Bundelkhand University (BU). In order to be eligible to take the exam the candidate must have a minimum of 50% aggregate in either a Master’s or a Bachelor’s degree in any of the courses. The marks secured in this exam are the only ones that will be taken into consideration when calculating the merit, however there is a 5% relaxation for students belonging to the SC/ST/PwD category. The scores for this exam help the candidate in getting admission to not only MJPRU but also, all the colleges affiliated to MJPRU. There are 2 papers in the exam with the total duration of the exam being 4 hours. The exam is conducted in two shifts (morning and evening). There are 200 questions asked in the exam with 2 hours allotted for each paper. The exam will consist of 4 sections allotted 50 marks each. The entire exam is of 400 marks with 200 marks for each paper. The exam is objective-type and will only have multiple choice questions, with the language of conduction being Hindi and English. Paper 1 will include subjects like:-

  1. General Knowledge – History, Geography, Current Affairs, General Science,etc.
  2. English Language – Tenses, Pronouns, Verbs, Idioms, Synonyms, Reading Comprehension, etc.
  3. Basics of Hindi language

 

On the other hand Paper 2 will consists of:-

  1. General Ability – Directions, Number, Percentages, Time and Distance , Averages, Profit and Loss, Ratio and Proportion,etc.
  2. Selected subjects by the candidate – Arts, Commerce, Science (Syllabus of class 11 and 12). 

 

DU B.Ed Entrance Exam

The DU B.Ed entrance exam is conducted by the Delhi University each year for admissions into their B.Ed programs. The exam is a state-level exam conducted offline for a duration of 3 hours. The candidate for gaining admission into the program should have a minimum of 50% aggregate in either a Master’s or a Bachelor’s degree in any of the courses. The University also provides two further subdivisions to this program,i.e.,

  1. B.Ed. in special education (Mental retardation)- Only for Female candidates
  2. B.Ed. in special education (Visual Impairment)

The exam will consist of 3 sections and will be bilingual. The sections are

  1.  Subject Knowledge at School (till senior secondary level)
  2. Reasoning and General Awareness
  3. Language Proficiency (in English and Hindi)

The exam consists of 100 questions and a total of 400. Each correct answer would award the candidate with +4 and each negative answer would deduct -1.

 

IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Test

The Indira Gandhi National Open University offers the B.Ed program through distance learning to students wishing to pursue it. The minimum duration of the program is 2 years and the maximum is 5 years. The candidate for admission into the program should have a minimum of 50% aggregate in either a Master’s or a Bachelor’s degree in any of the courses. The IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Exam is conducted online and primarily consists of multiple choice questions. ( See IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Exam pattern) The duration of the exam is one hour and there is no negative marking in the exam. The candidate is judged on sections such as General English comprehension, logical and analytical reasoning, general knowledge, etc

 

Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test (TS Ed CET)

The Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test  TS Ed CET is conducted by the Osmania University, Hyderabad each year for admissions into this program. The exam is a state-level entrance test with a duration of 120 minutes. It will be objective in nature with only multiple-choice questions. There will be a total of 150 questions, with +1 for every correct answer with no negative marking.The candidate should be a minimum of 19 years in order to be eligible for the exam.The candidate for admission into the program should have a minimum of 50% aggregate in either a Master’s or a Bachelor’s degree in any of the courses.

 


Andhra Pradesh Common Entrance Test (AP EdCET)

Andhra Pradesh EdCET: This is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of APSCHE for admission to B.Ed courses in colleges and universities in Andhra Pradesh for the session 2023-24. Applicants should have passed /appeared for final year examinations of B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc (Home Science)/B.Com./BCA/BBA at the time of submitting the Application for AP Ed.CET-2023. The candidate for admission into the program should have a minimum of 50% aggregate in either a Master’s or a Bachelor’s degree in any of the courses.

 

MAH B.Ed CET

The MAH B.Ed CET is conducted each year by the State common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra each year. The scores for this exam are accepted in all government-aided universities in Maharashtra. The exam is conducted for a duration of 90 minutes with a total of 100 questions and maximum marks also being 100. The exam is bilingual with English and Marathi being the medium of instruction. The exam is online and objective-type in nature and has no negative marking as well. The candidate for admission into the program should have a minimum of 50% aggregate in either a Master’s or a Bachelor’s degree in any of the courses. The exam will consist of three sections, i.e., Mental ability, teaching aptitude and general knowledge, with the first section having 40 questions followed by 30 questions in the other two sections.

 

BHU B.Ed Admission test

BHU B.Ed entrance exam is conducted yearly by the Banaras Hindu University for admissions into the B.Ed program. The exam is conducted for a duration of 150 minutes with a total of 100 questions in objective-type format,i.e., only multiple-choice questions will be asked from the candidate. The exam is divide into 2 parts:-

  1. Part 1- 30 MCQs will be asked on Aptitude,Reasoning, Current Education Scenario.
  2. Part 2- 70 MCQ’s will be asked on any one of the Groups based on the choice of Candidates.

The groups in Part 2 are Languages, Mathematics, Science and Humanities and Social Sciences. The candidate for admission into the program should have a minimum of 50% aggregate in either a Master’s or a Bachelor’s degree in any of the courses. It is important to note that there is a 15% reservation for SC, 7.5% for ST, 27% for OBC, and 3% for PH candidates.

 

VMOU B.Ed Entrance Exam

The Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University each year conducts the VMOU B.Ed entrance exam for admissions into this program. The exam has 150 questions with 3 marks being awarded for correct answer and -1 is deducted for each wrong answer. The mode of conduction is bilingual in both English and Hindi. The time duration of the exam is 3 hours with the total marks being 450. The exam would be divided into 5 sections:-

  1. Teaching ability
  2. Mental ability
  3. General awareness
  4. Language proficiency(Hindi)
  5. Language proficiency(English)

The candidate for admission into the program should have a minimum of 50% aggregate in either a Master’s or a Bachelor’s degree in any of the courses. 

 

HPU B.Ed Entrance exam

The Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla conducts the HPU B.Ed entrance exam each year for admissions into this program. The candidate for admission into the program should have a minimum of 50% aggregate in either a Master’s or a Bachelor’s degree in any of the courses. There is no upper age-limit given to the students to take admission into the course. The exam is objective-type in nature, i.e., it will consist of only multiple choice questions. There are 150 questions in the exam on which the candidate is judged upon, and is held for a duration of 120 minutes. The candidate will be rewarded +1 for each correct answer. There is no negative marking. The questions asked in the exam will be of the following subjects:-

  1. General Awareness (India and Himachal Pradesh)
  2. Language and Comprehension (Hindi and English)
  3. Logical Reasoning
  4. Knowledge of National Commission and Committees on education
  5. Teaching aptitude and attitude 

It is important to note here that the syllabus and the questions asked in the exam are of graduate-level knowledge and thus, will have questions from topics of various different degrees. The cut-off marks for the general category for 2022 is 53 and is 45 for SC/ST/OBC/PH.

 

TUEE

For students wishing to study B.Ed in Assam, the Tezpur University Entrance Examination (TUEE) is a way to go. This exam is conducted by the Tezpur University each year and is a fairly popular choice for students wishing to study in this state. The candidate for admission into the program should have a minimum of 50% aggregate in either a Master’s or a Bachelor’s degree in any of the courses. The university offers a total of 63 seats for this program to the candidates. The exam is conducted offline for a duration of 120 minutes. It is a national-level exam. The exam will have both multiple-choice questions as well as descriptive ones as well. The candidate will be rewarded +1 for each correct answer and -0.25 for each negative answer. The language of conduction is English. 

 

IPU CET

The Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test is conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University(GGSIPU). Since the entrance test is conducted for a variety of courses offered by the university, thus, it is important to note that except certain courses specified by the University itself, all other courses would take admissions through this test only. The exam is in online mode and is conducted for a duration of 150 minutes in both English and Hindi.  The candidate for admission into the program should have a minimum of 50% aggregate in either a Master’s or a Bachelor’s degree in any of the courses. The exam will consist of 100 questions and a total of 400. Each correct answer would award the candidate with +4 and each negative answer would deduct -1. The candidate will be tested on the following:-

  4. Aptitude for Teaching
