SNAP 2020 Symbiosis National Aptitude Test

SNAP 2020 Notification – Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune for admission to various Post Graduate Programs for the academic year 2020-21, conducts Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP)
The SNAP Test will be on 20th December 2020, from 14:00 Hrs. to 16:00 Hrs. Symbiosis National Aptitude Test or SNAP is a National-Level Mgt. Entrance Test, conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) for admission to its 15 Institutes.

SNAP 2020 – Overview

  • Candidates aspiring to join MBA/MSc (CA)/MSc (SS) Programs offered by Institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) have to appear for the common, mandatory Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Online Test 2020.
  • A candidate needs to register for SNAP Test & also register for the institutes offering his/ her choice of programs by paying separate programs registration fees.
  • If shortlisted, he/she would then need to attend the GE-PIWAT process conducted by each of these institutes individually.

Eligibility Criteria for SNAP 2020

  • Before filling the application form, candidates must know the eligibility criteria of Symbiosis National Aptitude Test 2020 for successful registration. Following are the SNAP exam 2020 eligibility criteria:
  • Applicants must be a graduate from any statutory or recognized institute or university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade (5% relaxation for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes).
  • Students appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination can also apply, provided their admission will be provisional and can be cancelled in the event of non-fulfilment of criteria.
  • Some participating institutes may require specific subject specialization/ discipline, for that candidate must check the eligibility given by the respective institutes.
  • Candidates who have completed its qualifying degree from a foreign university must have a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Note: Final eligibility of requisite qualification for admission will be decided by Symbiosis International (Deemed University).

  1. As per the UGC Regulations/ Guidelines, following will be the reservation policy for admission to any program of Institutes of SIU (except Symbiosis Institutes of Mgt. Studies, which has separate policy)

SNAP 2020 Application Process

  • A candidate can appear for a maximum of two tests for SNAP 2020.
  • Register online on the website snaptest.org (from September 24 to 28 November 2020). Note – Any change in the online registration form (except name, date of birth, category, test city preferences and test date) will be entertained only up to the closing date of registration i.e. 28 November 2020. No change shall be permitted after closing date under any circumstances.
  • Upload your latest scanned colour passport size photo at the time of online registration for SNAP Test. (Your photograph should not be more than three months old).
  • Ensure that the information you have filled is accurate. *No change in name, date of birth, category, test city and test date requests will be entertained once a candidate has paid her/his SNAP Test 2020 registration fee.

Snap Test Registration Fee Payment Process

The candidate may pay through

  • Pay the SNAP Test registration fee of Rs.1750/- per test from September 24, 2020 to 28 November 2020 as per the instructions mentioned on the website for Payment of SNAP Test registration fee.

NOTE-SNAP Test registration fee and programme registration fee of the Institute is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Payment through Demand Draft

  • Submit a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 1750/- per test from any Nationalized Bank in favour of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune.
  • Choose the mode of Payment as ‘DD Payment’ in ‘Make Payment’ Tab. Print the payment advice form, fill in the DD Details, sign and send it along with the DD to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat only at, Symbiosis Test Secretariat — Symbiosis International (Deemed University); Gram: Lavale, Tal : Mulshi, Dist: Pune-412115; Phone: +91-20-28116226/27/61936226/27
  • For disputes between a candidate and the STS, the candidate should first send an email to [email protected] with details about her/his grievance
  • If the candidate is not satisfied with the decision of the Registrar, s/he can appeal to the Ombudsman of the University. Information regarding the same is available on https://siu.edu.in/student-affairs.php
  • All disputes between the candidate and STS in this regard are subject to the legal jurisdiction of Pune.

Selection Process

  • On the basis of their overall percentage of SNAP, a cut-off list (category-wise) will be prepared and uploaded on the official website of respective institutes.
  • According to these cut off lists, students will be shortlisted for the GE-PI WAT

Exam Pattern

The following will be the exam pattern for SNAP 2020

Mode

Exams will be conducted through online mode three times in a year, once on 20th December 2020 and twice on 6th & 9th January 2021.

Attempt Limit

Candidates can appear maximum of two test in SNAP 2020.

Section

There will be three sections, i.e. General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Analytical and Logical Reasoning.

Type of Question

Multiple choice questions will be asked.

Total Questions

Total 60 questions will be asked in the examination.

Duration of Exam

One hour will be given to solve the question paper.

Marking Scheme

For each correct answer 1 mark will be awarded.

Negative Marking

Each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks.

SNAP 2020 Admit Card

  • Only candidates who will have registered successfully along with the payment of application and program fee will be able to download the admit card of SNAP exam 2020 from the official website. The SNAP 2020 admit card will be available from December 5, 2020
  • Students must ensure that their recent passport size photograph is pasted on the admit card of SNAP 2020
  • Hall ticket is an important document for Symbiosis National Aptitude Test 2020 along with the photo identity proof for the authentication process
  • In case the student loses the authenticated SNAP admit card 2020, he/she will not be issued duplicate authenticated admit card
