Symbiosis National Aptitude Test - SNAP MBA Entrance Exam 2017

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test - SNAP 2017 is an annual management entrance exam for admission to MBA programmes in the Institutes affiliated with Symbiosis International University.

Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune for admission to various Post Graduate Programmes for the academic year 2017-18, conducts Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP). The SNAP Test will be on 18th December 2016

SNAP 2017 Eligibility Criteria:

Those who have completed Graduate from any recognized/statutory University or Institute with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST), Programmes, which require specific discipline/ subject specialisation need to be checked for eligibility as given by the respective Institute

A candidate who has completed qualifying degree from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). All foreign degrees/ qualifications need to be verified from AIU by the candidate before seeking admission to any programme of SIU

Evaluation Division of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) issues equivalence certificate for foreign degrees/qualifications

SNAP 2017 Test Structure

Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability - 40 Questions; 40 Marks
Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency - 40 Questions; 40 Marks
General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Business Scenario - 40 Questions; 40 Marks
Analytical & logical Reasoning - 60 Questions; 40 Marks
Total No. of Questions: 150 and 150 Marks
SNAP Test duration is of 120 minutes

Date of SNAP Test - 08th December 2016 (Time: 14.00 hrs. - 16.00 hrs)

SNAP Test is an objective test. Each question has 4 responses. Candidate should choose an appropriate response. 0.25 marks will be penalized for wrong answers. Each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks

Candidate must use Blue or Black ball point pen only

Selection Process for SNAP 2017:

On the basis of their overall percentage of SNAP, a cutoff list (category-wise) will be prepared and uploaded on the official website of respective institutes. According to these cut off lists, students will be shortlisted for the GE-PI WAT

SNAP Test is conducted in 32 cities all over India. A candidate can choose one city of the following:
Agra, Jamshedpur; Ahmedabad; Kanpur; Allahabad; Kochi; Bengaluru; Kolkata; Bhopal; Kolhapur; Bhubaneswar; Lucknow; Chandigarh; Mumbai; Chennai; Nagpur; Delhi; Nashik; Faridabad; Noida; Gangtok; Patna; Gurgaon; Pune; Guwahati; Surat; Hyderabad; Shillong; Indore; Vashi; Jaipur and Visakhapat nam
Test Centre and its address will be printed on the Admit Card
Reservation Policy: As per the UGC Regulations/ Guidelines, following will be the reservation policy for admission to any program of Institutes of SIU (except Symbiosis Institutes of Management Studies, which has separate policy)
a) Within Sanctioned Intake
i) Scheduled Caste (SC): 15%
ii) Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5%
iii) Differently Abled: 03%
b) Over & Above Intake
i) Kashmiri Migrants: 02 seats per program
ii) International Candidates: 15%

Candidates applying from categories other than Open Category are required to submit valid supporting document (s) at the time of GE-PIWAT (if shortlisted)


SNAP-2017 Registration Process

Register online on (from 22nd August 2016 to 22nd November 2016)
Note: Any Changes in the online application form can be made only up to the closing date of Registration i.e.22nd November 2016 (No change is permitted after this under any circumstances)
Upload your latest scanned colored photograph to establish identity

Online Payment through Credit Card: The candidate may pay directly through Master or Visa card online by following the instructions on the SNAP website after the registration

Online payment through Net Banking: The candidate may transfer SNAP test fee to Symbiosis Test Secretariat account using Net Banking option after the registration

Payment through Cash: After online SNAP 2016 registration print ‘Axis Bank or Indian Bank Challan’ from the SNAP website. It is in 3 parts; pay Rs.1500/- in cash at any Axis Bank or Indian Bank branch in your city; (refer to the list of branches on the website)

Choose the mode of Payment as 'DD Payment' in "Make Payment" Tab. Take a print of the payment advice form, fill in the DD Details, sign and send it along with the DD to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat only at Symbiosis Test Secretariat, Symbiosis International University, Gram: Lavale, Tal: Mulshi, Dist.: Pune-412115

The Symbiosis Test Secretariat will authenticate the payment details and will send you an email confirming the payment. Only after the payment is authenticated, would you be able to view your Admit card

Admit Card for SNAP 2017

SNAP Test Admit Card should be printed from the SNAP website ( which will be available from, December 2016

The student should carry the admit card along with any photo identity (Passport, Driving license, College/Institute Identity Card, Credit card with photograph, Voter ID Card, Pan Card, Aadhar Card) to the exam centre at the time of the test
