New exam date for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021 announced

The Consortium of National Law Universities has released the new exam date for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021. As per the notification the exam will be now held on July 23, 2021 from 2 pm to 4 pm for both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs. The Exam was earlier scheduled to be held on June 13, 2021 but was postponed but was postponed due to the rising number of Covid-19 cases.

The official statement reads, “The CLAT 2021 will be a pen and paper exam conducted at centres with all COVID 19 safety protocols being observed. 3. Candidates for the LLM programme in CLAT 2021 are hereby informed that the examination will include only 120 MCQs to be answered in 120 minutes. There will be no descriptive section in CLAT 2021.” 

The statement further reads, “In view of avoiding longer travel to the test centres, applicants will be given a chance to revisit their preference of test centre after the last date of submission of filled-in application. The Consortium as far as possible will try to adjust first or second preference of the Test Centre

CLAT 2021 will be a pen and paper exam conducted at centres with all COVID 19 safety protocols. CLAT is conducted for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs offered by 22 National Law Universities across the country.
