The Full form of HP is Hewlett-Packard. HP is an American multinational information technology company that provides hardware and software related products and services to consumers, small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and large enterprises, including customers in the government, health and education sectors. It is headquartered in Palo Alto, California, USA. Its logo is lowercase “hp” in italic letters inside a circle. As of 2015, Meg Whitman is the CEO of Hewlett-Packard. The company was founded by William Hewlett and Dave Packard in 1939. They started this company in a garage in Palo Alto, California. Their first product was an audio oscillator. Since then, the company kept growing and became the world’s second largest PC vendor in 2013. In 2014, HP planned to separate into two new companies named HP Inc. and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). HP Inc. which is popular as HP and stylized as hp, was established to focus on personal computers and printing business and HPE for the enterprise technology, networking, storage, security and corporate services.
