As per TOI report the two day nationwide general strike has been called by Central Trade unions on January 8 and 9, which has become the reason to worry for the students appearing for JEE Main 2019 exam scheduled for these days. Due to nationwide general strike the basic services throughout the country including railways and road transport will be affected. Students who have their exam centres away from their cities may face difficulties to reach their exam venues.

 

JEE Main 2019 is scheduled to be held from January 6 to 20, 2019.

 

Vineet Joshi, Director of National Testing Agency, the organizing authority of JEE Main exam told the TOI reporter that, the agency has no plans to reschedule the exams, however they will be holding a meeting to discuss the matter soon.

 

Trade Union leaders said that, they were not aware of Entrance Exams on these dates. INTUC State

 

President R. Chandrasekharan said that, “This is a nation strike that was announced quite early and no one had approached us with representations. He also added that it would not be possible to postpone the dates for strike
