Will CBSE delay the Board Exam 2021 or conduct it earlier than expected

Amid the ongoing pandemic, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the process for the Board Exams 2021 and many contradictory statements by the news agencies have been circulating around on the conduction of CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2021.

As per India.com news desk, the board will either shorten the syllabus or delay the exams by 45 or 60 days since the normal classes across the country were suspended for more than 7 months in the wake of the novel coronavirus.

On the other hand, ZEEBIZ reported that CBSE class 10, 12 board exams may be held earlier than expected in 2021 to ensure NEET, JEE are not affected.

As per the reports, CBSE has collected the feedback from schools and is expected to take a decision on the basis of the feedback received.

In the meantime, schools are following their time table and are trying to complete the syllabus.

According to the experts opinion, CBSE Board Exam 2021 could be delayed as the academic cycle has been disrupted. According to them, the actual decision on conducting the board exams can only be taken once normal classes resume.

It is also learnt that the CBSE will not be reducing the syllabus any further as it will impact the competitive examinations like NEET, JEE, etc.

Earlier, the Delhi government’s education department has also written to the CBSE, urging it not to conduct the board exams 2021 before May.

However, no official announcement has been made by CBSE in this regard yet.
