GPAT 2012 for M.Pharma Admissions on 6th May, 2012

The important dates for GPAT-2012 Examination are as follows:

Website Opens (for Online Registration): Saturday, 14.01.2012

Website Closes (for Online Registration): Monday, 20.02.2012

Last date for receiving of copy of Bank Challan as proof of payment for examination fee and Print out of the application form: Monday, 27.02.2012

Date of Examination: Sunday, 06.05.2012

Date of Declaration of Result: Thursday, 31.05.2012

GPAT 2012

The scores in graduate aptitude test for engineers (GATE) have been in use till that year 2012 for admission in Master’s programme in Pharmacy (M.Pharma) and also for awarding fellowships/scholarships to Pharmacy graduate along with engineering graduates. The organizing committee for GATE has expressed its inability to include pharmacy graduates in GATE with effect from the year 2012, owing to operational problems due to large number of candidates appearing for GATE examination.

Therefore, in order to facilitate admission of Pharmacy graduates in M.Pharma as also to award fellowships/scholarships to Pharmacy graduates, AICTE has decided to organize to conduct an examination in the name of Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) with effect from academic year 2010-11. Accordingly, a National Monitoring Committee (NMC) was constituted for monitoring the issues pertaining to the policy as well as conduct of GPAT.

NMC, constituted by AICTE has recommended for conduct of 1st GPAT i.e. GPAT-2012 by the M.S. university of Baroda, Vadodara-390002, which has agreed to conduct the examination on May 06, 2011 throughout the country.

Candidates willing to appear in GPAT-2012 may obtain application form along with information brochure from either the office of coordinator GPAT-2012, the M.S. university of Baroda, Vadodara-390002 or from the designated branches of Bank of Baroda, whose information may be obtained from the website of GPAT-2010 at URL http://www.gpat.in, http://www.msubaroda.ac.in

ELIGIBILITY FOR GPAT 2012

Persons holding Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) or appearing in the Final year examination of B. Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) in the year 2012 only are eligible for appearing for GPAT-2012 examination.
