The TIFR Archives stores the collective memory of the institute by preserving papers, documents, photographs, sound recordings that tell the history of the Institute from 1945 to the present. Researchers will find here a wealth of resources for the history of science in India.

Teacher Researcher Interaction Program

One of the outstanding problems in education is the difficulties teachers have in accessing the increasingly opaque scientific literature in order to enhance their own knowledge. Conversely, the research community often lacks understanding of the basic problems of education and student interaction. While HBCSE is doing seminal work for teachers teaching at lower standards and helping in simplifying formal teaching at higher classes, there is a dearth of programmes for teachers teaching higher classes. In order to mitigate this problem, TIFR has initiated a Teacher-Research Interaction Programme (TRIP).

Admission Process

The admissions procedure (in all subjects except Science Education) consists of a written test at one of several nationwide centres followed by interviews.
All interviews will be held during end-February to early-April, 2009.  Exact dates would be announced later.
The list of students short-listed and the exact dates of interviews will be announced at an appropriate time.
