The Full form of PT is Physical Training. It is a subject taught in schools to improve physical fitness of students. Physical exercise as well class room sessions are given to students to improve their physical fitness, sports etc. PT is any bodily activity that maintains or enhances physical fitness and overall health and wellness. Physical fitness is a state of health and well-being of a person and, more specifically, the ability to perform various aspects of sports, occupations and daily activities. Main factors that are required to achieve a good physical fitness are proper nutrition, moderate-vigorous physical exercise and sufficient rest. Fitness was considered as the capacity to carry out the day’s activities without fatigue before the industrial revolution. However, with industrialization, automation and changes in lifestyles physical fitness is now considered a measure of the body’s ability to function efficiently and effectively in work, sports and leisure activities, to be healthy, to resist hypokinetic diseases and to meet emergency situations.
