CSIR -HRDG revised rate of Fellowships/ Associateships effective from January 2023

 

The Human Resource Development Group, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR-HRDG) has accorded approval of the enhancement of Fellowships/Associateships for JRF-NET, JRF Gate, SRF, postdoctoral, and other research fellows.  As per the office memorandum on the official website, the revised fellowships will be effective from January 1, 2023.

 

The amount has been increased from Rs 31,000 to 37,000 for the first two years and from 35,000 to 42,000 after two years for the JRF candidates, whereas the SRF amount has been increased from 35000 to 42000 and Research Associate (RA) amount has been increased from 47,000 to 58,000. The amount of CSIR-Nehru Postdoctoral Research Fellowship has been increased from 65,000 to 80,000.

The EMR Division, under HRD Group of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) provide CSIR Research Fellowships and Associateships to bright students for training in methods of research under the expert supervision of professors and scientists working in University Departments, Institutes of National Importance, National Laboratories and Institutes of CSIR in various fields of Science technology, and Medical Sciences

The CSIR Fellowships/Associateships are accessible at universities, IITs, post-graduate colleges, government research institutions, including the CSIR, R&D facilities in the recognized public or private sector, industrial firms, and other reputable establishments. Only bona fide Indian citizens residing in India are eligible for the award of research Fellowship/Associateships.
