AMU Distance Education 2018 Important Dates

  • Admission at CDE has started the last date of the Admission Forms for the session 2018-19 is 27th September 2018

AMU Distance Education 2018 Application Form

  • A candidate can obtain admission form from the Centre for Distance Education (CDE), AMU, or from any one of the designated Study Centre(s), or from the CDE Website www.cdeamu.ac.in and www.amuict.in

Eligibility Criteria

Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) Part-I (Class XI) Arts/Social Science

  • Eligibility: Secondary School Certificate / High School examination of the Aligarh Muslim University or an examination recognized by the Aligarh Muslim University as its equivalent.

Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) Part -I (Class XI) Commerce

  • Eligibility: Secondary School Certificate/High School Examination of the Aligarh Muslim University or an equivalent examination recognized by AMU

B.A. (Hons.) Arts & Social Science

  • Eligibility: Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSC) 10+2, in any stream of this University or an examination recognized by the University as its equivalent. However, there is no age bar for admission to B.A (Hons.) program.

B. Com. (Hons.)

  • Eligibility: Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSC, 10+2), in any stream, from AMU or equivalent recognized by AMU

M.A.

  • Eligibility: Any candidate who has passed B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. or an equivalent degree with not less than 50% marks in aggregate of Aligarh Muslim University, or any other University or Institute in any state recognized by UGC or AICTE is eligible for admission

M.Com (Hons.)

  • Eligibility: Any candidate who has passed B.Com or an equivalent degree with not less than 50% marks in aggregate of Aligarh Muslim University, or any other University or Institute in any state recognized by UGC or AICTE is eligible for admission

PGD-JMC (Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism & Mass Communication)

  • Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any institution recognized by AMU

PGD-PM (Post Graduate Diploma in Portfolio Management)

  • Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any institution recognized by AMU.

PGD-LAMM (Post PGD in Language for Advertisement, Marketing & Media (PGD-LAMM)

  • Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any institution recognized by AMU

PGD-G&C (Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance & Counseling)

  • Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any institution recognized by AMU

  • Preference will be given to candidates having a background of Psychology, Educational psychology, Education, M.Ed., Social Work, Child Development, Human Development

  • Candidate having MBBS / BDS / B. Tech. will also be considered for admission.

BLIS (Bachelor of Library & Information Science)

  • Eligibility: BA / B.Sc. / B. Com Exam of this university or an equivalent examination with at least 50% marks from any institution recognized by AMU. OR BA / B.Sc. / B. Com Exam having 45% marks with library experiences of 5 years in a recognized library OR BA / B.Sc. / B. Com Examination having 45% marks with Master’s degree in Second Division from this University or from any other recognized University/Institution

DCSE (Diploma in Communicative skills in English)

  • Eligibility: Certificate in Communicative English / B.A. Part-I from AMU or from any Institution recognized by AMU.

CCSE (Certificate in Communicative Skills in English)

  • Eligibility: SSSC (+2) or its equivalent degree recognized by AMU

Selection for AMU Distance Education Admission

  • The list of selected candidates for admission will be displayed at the Office of the CDE, A.M.U., and its Study Centres. Admission is open to all those who possess prescribed minimum qualification. Admissions are provisional, subject to verification of required documents & eligibility conditions

Application Fee

  • The download Application Form must be attached with a Demand Draft of Rs.300/- in favour of Finance Officer, AMU, payable at Aligarh along with other required documents for admission

  • The application form can also be obtained from the Cash Counter at CDE, AMU on payment of Rs.300/- or by sending a Bank Demand Draft of Rs.350/- in favour of Finance Officer, AMU, payable at Aligarh along with a self-addressed A4 size envelope affixing postal stamp of Rs.60/-. Admission fee is non-refundable

Submission of Application Forms

  • Candidates must submit their duly filled application form to the Centre from where it was obtained. The downloaded forms need to be submitted at the Centre where you are interested to get your admission.

Rejection of Application Form

  • The application form may be rejected due to any of the following reasons:

  • If the candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria.

  • If the qualifying exam is not recognized by Aligarh Muslim University.

  • If the application form is not signed by the candidate.

  • If the clearance from the AMU Proctor is not given.

  • If the application form is incomplete.

  • If the information provided by the candidate is incomplete or incorrect.

  • B.A. (Hons.) Part I Arts & Social Science - Rs.3500/-

  • B. COM. (Hons.) Part I - Rs.4000/-

  • M.A. (Arts & Social Science) - Rs.5500/-

  • M.Com Previous - Rs.5500/-

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication (PGD-JMC) - Rs.9000/-

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Portfolio management (PGD-PM) - Rs.9800/-

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Language for Advertisement, Marketing & Media (PGD-LAMM) - Rs.9000/-

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance & Counseling (PGD-G&C) - Rs.9500/-
