TNVASU Distance Education PG Diploma Admission 2019 - Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS), Chennai, invites applications for admission into the following Post Graduate Diploma (Distance Education - Online Mode) Programs for the academic year 2019-20.

  2. The Directorate is vested with responsibility of imparting training, knowledge up scaling and technology input in veterinary and animal sciences to the different target groups like veterinarians, farmers, entrepreneurs, unemployed personnel, school dropouts and practicing farmers.

 

About the Program

  1. Postgraduate Diploma Course (Distance Education-Online Mode) of one year duration consists of two semesters. Each semester accounts for 110 working days with a contact class programme of 10 days duration.

Selection Process

  1. As per TANUVAS academic regulations and rules in force.
  2. For admission to PG Diploma (Distance Mode) Programs the selection of candidates will be made on the following scoring basis:
  3. Marks in Bachelor Degree (For every 10% of marks in UG Degree, one mark will be awarded): Max. 10
  4. Professional Experience / Service (One Mark for every year of experience / professional service): Max. 10
  5. Medals / Awards / Appreciations (One Mark for each Medal / Award / Appreciation): Max. 5

Marks in Entrance Exam

  1. (Entrance Exam will be held for a maximum of 50 marks with a duration of 2 hours. The exam consists of 100 multiple choice questions (related to the PG Diploma course) with each question carrying 0.5 marks): Max. 50
  2. Total Aggregate Marks*: Max. 75

 

Note

  1. With respect to the above, candidates securing a minimum of 50% (i.e.37.50 marks out of 75) shall be selected for admitting in PG Diploma (Distance Mode) Programs.
  2. For SC/ST applicants, the minimum qualifying marks shall be 40% (i.e. 30 marks out of 75).\

 

TNVASU Distance Education PG Diploma Admission 2019 Application Process

  1. The application form and information brochure can be downloaded from the university website: www.tanuvas.ac.in from 17th July 2019 to 13th August 2019.
  2. The last date for receipt of completed application (Hard Copy) by the Director of Distance Education at the address given below is 19th August 2019 up to 5.00p.m.
  3. The selected candidates should remit the course fee on or before the date specified in the admission letter. Registration / Course fee shall be paid through online payment to the Account No: 332902010721823 – “DDE PG Diploma Distance Mode Programme, TANUVAS”- Union Bank of India, Madhavaram Branch,Chennai- 600 051 with the following option;
  4. i) Candidates can pay in any Union Bank of India branches in the A/c No. 332902010721823 – “DDE PG Diploma Distance Mode Programme, TANUVAS” and mention the transaction number & date of remittance.
  5. ii) Candidates can send payment from any other Bank to the A/C No. 332902010721823 – “DDE PG Diploma Distance Mode Programme, TANUVAS”-IFSC Code-UBINO533297 and mention the UTR No. & date of remittance.
  6. The candidates who did not submit the project work on the specified dates can avail a grace period of three months by paying a fine of Rs.2000/- as Demand Draft in favor of “DDE PG Diploma Distance Mode Programme, TANUVAS”
  7. Successful candidates may apply for the provisional diploma certificate. For which a formal request letter to Controller of Examinations is to be addressed with a Demand Draft/cheque for Rs.100/- drawn in favour of “The Finance Officer, TANUVAS, Chennai-51”.
