UTET 2023 – The Uttarakhand Board of School Education has released the notification for the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET I & II Exam) for the selection of eligible candidates for the post of Teacher (Primary and Upper Primary Level) for the schools in the state of Uttarakhand.

Eligibility Criteria for UTET 2023

For UTET-I (Primary Level)

  • 12th pass (or equivalent) with at least 50 percent marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El. Ed.) passed or appeared in the final year. OR
  • 12th pass (or equivalent) with minimum 45 percent marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El. Ed.) as per NCTE regulations in 2002. OR
  • 12th pass (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR
  • Graduation with D.El.Ed/ B.T.C OR Graduation with 50% marks and B.Ed AND
  • Qualified Shiksha Mitra Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.), from IGNOU

For UTET-II (Upper Primary Level)

  • Graduation (or equivalent) and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El. Ed.) passed or appeared in final year. OR
  • Graduation (or equivalent) with at least 50 percent marks and a Bachelor of Education degree (B.Ed / L.T./Shiksha Shastri, as a Regular candidate, passed or appearing in the final year. OR
  • 12th pass (or equivalent) with at least 50 percent marks and 4-year B.A./B.Sc. Ed or B.A.Ed / B.Sc. Ed. passed or appeared in the final year. OR
  • Graduation (or equivalent) with at least 50 percent marks and B.Ed passed or appearing in the final year (Special Education). OR
  • Graduation with B.Ed (Special Education) from RCI

 

Application Process

  • Eligible and interested candidates are required to register and submit online form for the UTET (Uttarakhand TET) 2023-24 through the website www.ubse.uk.gov.in or ukutet.com 
  • Candidates can appear in any one exam or both the exams. 

 

Examination Fee

General/ OBC Category

  • Only UTET Paper 1 or Paper 2 – Rs 600/-
  • Both UTET Paper 1 and Paper 2 – Rs 1000/-

SC/ ST/ PH Category

  • Only UTET Paper 1 or Paper 2 – Rs 300/-
  • Both UTET Paper 1 and Paper 2 – Rs 500/-
  • Payment Mode: Online payment mode by using Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card only

 

Exam Pattern

  • It is of utmost importance to know the details of the UTET stage I & II exam pattern & its marking scheme. The UTET exam is being conducted on two different stages which are for primary – classes 1 to 5 (UTET-I) & upper primary- classes 6 to 8 (UTET-II)
  • Total No. of Questions: 150
  • Total No. of Marks: 150
  • Type of Question: Multiple Choice based questions (MCQs).
  • Duration of Exam: 2 hours & 30 Min.
  • Language of Question Paper: Bilingual (Hindi & English).

UTET Paper-I (I -V)Subject

  • Child Development and Pedagogy : 30 Questions
  • Language – I : 30 Questions
  • Language II : 30 Questions
  • Mathematics : 30 Questions
  • Environmental Studies : 30 Questions

UTET Paper-II (VI-VIII) Subject

  • Child development & Pedagogy : 30 Questions
  • Language – I (Hindi/English) : 30 Questions
  • Language II : 30 Questions
  • Mathematics and Science (candidates applied for Mathematics or Science teacher) : 60 Questions
  • Social Study (candidates applied for social study/science teacher)
  • Either ‘A’ or ‘B’ (candidates applied for other subjects teacher)

 

UTET Qualifying Marks

  • Aspirants have to obtain the minimum qualifying marks in order to clear the UTET exam
  • General – 60%
  • SC/ST – 40%
  • OBC/PWD/Freedom Fighters/Former Soldier – 50%
