AFCAT Recruitment 2022 , Apply Online for 317 vacancies for  Commissioned Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Posts

AFCAT (1) 2022 – Online applications are invited for the courses commencing in January 2023 for Grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches. Online applications are also invited for grant of PC/SSC for NCC Special Entry Scheme (For flying branch). Registration for online applications will open on 01st December 2021 and close on 30th December 2021 on the official website.

A total of 317 vacancies shall be filled through AFCAT Entry, NCC Special Entry & Meteorology Entry. Candidates can check more details on AFCAT 01/2022 Recruitment 2022 such as educational qualification, selection process, exam pattern, syllabus based on previous year recruitment.

 

AFCAT (1) 2022 Dates

  • Notification Release : 26th November 2021
  • Application Begin : 01st December 2021
  • Last Date for Apply Online : 30th December 2021
  • AFCAT 2022 Exam Date : 12th, 13th, 14th February 2022

 

Type of Commission

PC for Men

  • Candidates joining as PC officers would continue to serve till the age of superannuation as per their branch and rank.

SSC for Men & Women

  • The engagement period for Flying Branch SSC officers is fourteen years from the date of Commissioning (Non extendable).
  • The initial tenure for SSC officers in Ground Duty (Tech and Non-tech) branches would be for a period of ten years. An extension of four years may be granted subject to service requirements, availability of vacancies, willingness, suitability and merit.
  • Grant of Permanent Commision (PC) to SSCOs would be considered in the extended tenure of service only as per prevailing policies on the subject  at the time and subject to service requirements, availability of vacancies, willingness, suitability and merit.

 

AFCAT (1) 2022 Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India

Age limit

  • Flying Branch: Applicant age should be 20 to 24 years as on 01 Janaury 2023 i.e. born between 02 January1999 to 01 January 2003 (both dates inclusive). Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 years i.e. born between 02 Janaury 1997 to 01 Janaury 2003 (both dates inclusive).
  • Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches: For ground duty, the minimum age is 20 years and the upper age limit is capped at 26 years i.e. born between 02 Janaury 1997 to 01 Janaury 2003 (both dates Inclusive).
  • Note: Candidates below 25 years of age must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course. Widows/Widowers and divorcees (with or without encumbrances) below 25 years of age are also not eligible.

 

AFCAT Educational Qualification

  • For Flying branch: Minimum 60% marks each in physics and mathematics at 10+2 level and a three-year degree in graduation OR a BE/BTech degree with a minimum of 60% from a recognized university.
  • For Ground duty (Technical) Branch: Aeronautical engineering (Electronics)(AE(L)): Minimum 60% marks each in physics and mathematics at 10+2 level and a degree in graduation/post-graduation in the field of engineering and technology from a recognized university.
  • Aeronautical Engineering Mechanical : Candidates with Minimum 60% Marks Each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 Level and 4 Year Engineering / Technology Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or Equivalent Degree

Ground Duty Non Technical

  • Administration and Logistics : Bachelor Degree in Any Stream with at Least Minimum 60% Marks
  • Physical Eligibility : Height Male : 157.5 CMS / Female : 152 CM
  • Accounts : Bachelor Degree in Commerce B.Com with at Least Minimum 60% Marks
  • Physical Eligibility : Height Male : 157.5 CMS / Female : 152 CMS

NCC Special Entry

  • Flying : NCC Air Wing Senior Division ’C’ certificate and Other Details as per Flying Branch Eligibility

  • Invites Men and Women from Indian Citizens as per citizenship Act 1955 to be a part of the Indian Air Force as Commissioned Officers in flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-technical) Branches.

  • Officers Intelligence Rating Test & Picture Perception and Discussion test, Psychological test
