Sainik School Kazhakootam Admission 2020 for Boys Class VI and IX – Applications are invited for admission to Class VI and Class IX through All India Sainik School Entrance Examination to be held on 05th January 2020 (Sunday).

  • To prepare the boys academically, physically and mentally for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune & Naval Academy (NA), Ezhimala, Kannur.

Age Limits

  • For Admission to Class VI: Born between 01st April 2008 and 31st March 2010 (both days inclusive)
  • For Admission to Class IX: Born between 01st April 2005 and 31st March 2007 (both days inclusive) and should be studying in class VIII in a recognized school
  • Curriculum: 10+2 science stream CBSE

 

Exam Pattern

  • The Entrance Exam for 2020-21 will be objective type question pattern to be answered on MOR sheet. For Class VI question paper will be printed in English, Hindi, and Malayalam languages as per choice given in application form by the candidates. For Class IX the question paper will be printed in English language only.

Sainik School Kazhakootam Admission Procedure 2020

  • The admissions will be made strictly in accordance with the merit in the Entrance Examination, Interview and Medical fitness of candidates. The school has not deputed any individual Institution for admission related coaching / training

Category wise Reservation of Seats

  • 15 % for SC and 7.5% for ST. Out of remaining seats 67% are for Kerala Domicile – General and Defence (75:25) – and 33% are reserved for other state candidates

Scholarships

  • Different types of Scholarships are given by Central/State Governments depending upon the Parents’ monthly income (Details are available in the Prospectus)

  • Application forms for admission will be available from the school website sainikschooltvm.nic.in from 05th August 2019 to 23rd September 2019. Candidate will have the following options to submit the application form for Entrance Exam 2020
  • (a) Online filling up of Application form: Online application form can be filled up on the link which would be made available on the school website
  • (b) Directly from the School: The Prospectus cum application form can be purchased directly from the school office on cash payments on all working days between 09.00 AM to 01.00 PM and 03.00 PM to 05.00 PM.
  • (c) By Post facility: Prospectus & application form can be obtained from the school from 05th August 2019 to 23rd September 2019 by sending a Demand Draft payable at Trivandrum drawn in favour of “Principal, Sainik School Kazhakootam” along with a request letter addressed Principal, Sainik School Kazhakootam, Sainik School PO, Trivandrum-695585
  • Address with Telephone Number, Category (Gen / Defence / SC /ST), Domicile and the class applied for and Date of Birth should be clearly mentioned in the request letter
