Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board announces Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2021 Exam Dates for appointment of Primary/Upper Primary teachers
UPTET 2021 – Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board has released the notification for State Level Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2021 for candidates seeking to be appointed as teachers in Government-run organizations in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

UPTET 2021 Important Dates
- UPTET 2021 Registration begins: 07th October 2021
- Last date to fill online application form: 25th October 2021
- Last date to pay fees: 26th October 2021
- Admit Card release: 17th November 2021
- UPTET 2021 Exam Date: 28th November 2021
- Released of Answer Key: 02nd December 2021
- Result to be declared: 28th December 2021
Eligibility Criteria for UPTET 2021
- For Classes I-V (Primary Level): Candidates should possess a Degree from UGC recognized University with 02 years B.T.C (Final year & Passed out candidates)/ N.C.T.E./ 02 years Diploma (D.Ed.) from Indian Rehabilitation Center (R.C.I.)/ Intermediate with minimum 50% of marks/ its equivalent with 04 years Degree (Final year & Passed out candidates) in Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
- For Classes VI-VIII (Upper Primary Level): Candidates should possess a Degree from UGC recognized University/ 02 years B.T.C. (Final year & Passed out candidates) from N.C.T.E. / Intermediate with minimum 50% of marks/ its equivalent & 04 years Degree (Final year & Passed out candidates) in Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) Intermediate or equivalent, BA/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc. Ed from NCTE/ UG recognized Institute or Degree in Relevant discipline and B.Ed.

- Interested and eligible candidates will be able to register and fill the application form at shasanadesh.up.gov.in from 07th October 2021 till 25th October 2021

Application Fee
- Fee will be Payable through HDFC Payment Gateway
- SC/ ST Category – Rs. 400/- For Paper 1 & Rs. 800/- For Paper 1 & 2 both
- Other Category/ UR Candidates – Rs. 600/- For Paper 1 & Rs. 1200/- For Paper 1 & 2 both
- PwD Candidates – Rs. 100/- For Paper 1 & Rs. 200/- For Paper 1 & 2 both
Selection Procedure
- The Selection will be based on Written Exam
- Those candidates who qualify the UPTET Exam, the Board will provide Score Card/ Rank Card and mention their marks (obtained by candidates) in the scorecard. The scorecard will be valid till the next uptet exam.
Exam Pattern
- The exam will be held for two papers – Paper 1 for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V and Paper 2 for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
- Type of Exam: Offline Pen-Paper Based Test
- Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Type of Questions (MCQs)
- Total Questions: 150 Questions
- Exam Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
- Negative Marking: 1 mark each without any provision of negative marking
Paper-I
- Child Development and Methodology and Pedagogy – 30 Questions & 30 Marks
- Language 2 (Anyone from English, Urdu & Sanskrit) – 30 Questions & 30 Marks
- Mathematics – 30 Questions & 30 Marks
- Environmental Studies – 30 Questions & 30 Marks
- Total – 150 Questions & 150 Marks
- Duration: 2 hour 30 minutes
Paper-II
- Child Development and Methodology and Pedagogy – 30 Questions & 30 Marks
- Language 1 (Hindi) – 30 Questions & 30 Marks
- Language 2 (Anyone from English, Urdu & Sanskrit) – 30 Questions & 30 Marks
- Mathematics – 30 Questions & 30 Marks
- Science – 30 Questions & 30 Marks
- Total – 150 Questions & 150 Marks
- Duration: 2 hour 30 minutes
UPTET 2021 Admit Card
- The UPTET 2021 admit card will be released on 17th November 2021 by the UPBEB. We will post the direct link to download the UPTET admit card once it is out. The admit card includes the name of the candidates, roll number, exam date, schedule, venue, etc.
