GSET 2021 Important Dates

  1. Notification Release Date: 21st June 2021
  2. Online Application Start Date: 21st June 2021
  3. Last Date to Apply Online : 21st July 2021
  4. Last Date to Pay Application Fee: 21st July 2021
  5. Admit Card Release Date: 19th December 2021 (tentative)
  6. Exam Date: 26th December 2021   January 23, 2022


Eligibility Criteria for GSET 2021

  1. Only those candidates are eligible to appear in the GSET who have completed/are studying in the final year or semester of a UGC specified Master’s degree in a subject of GSET
  2. General/Unreserved/General-EWS candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC

Age Limit

  • There is no age limit to apply for Gujarat State Eligibility test 2021


How to apply for GSET 2021 – Application Process

  • The online registration process for Gujarat State Eligibility Test will be available on the website from 21 June till 02nd July 2021.


Application Fee

  1. Rs. 900/- + Bank Charges – General / Gen – EWS / SEBC (Non-creamy layer) Candidates.
  2. Rs. 700/- + Bank Charges – SC / ST / Third gender Candidates.
  3. Rs. 100/- + Bank Charges – PWD (PH/VH) Candidates


GSET 2021 Exam Pattern

  1. GSET Exam will consist of 2 papers. Both the papers will consist of objective type, multiple-choice questions
  2. Paper-I will consist of 50 questions each carrying 2 marks.
  3. Paper-II will consist of 100 questions each carrying 2 marks.
  4. There is no negative marking for the wrong answer.
  5. All questions are compulsory to attempt.
  6. Duration: 3 hours (9:30 AM to 12:30 PM)


Exam Centres

  1. 13 Gujarat SET will be held at centres viz. Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Patan, Bhavnagar, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Godhra, Junagadh, Valsad and Bhuj


GSET 2021 Syllabus

  1. Syllabus for GSET Exam will be the same as UGC/CSIR NET. Syllabi for all Gujarat SET (GSET) subjects can be downloaded from the GSET Website
  2. GSET Agency, Vadodara will not send the syllabus to individual candidates


Hall Ticket

  • It may be noted that the hall ticket will be uploaded on the website 7 days prior to Exam Day. No hall ticket will be sent to the candidates by post.
