NCAT 2019 IFEHE National Creativity Aptitude Test – International Forum for Excellence in Higher Education (IFEHE) has invited applications from students of Engineering, Management and Science Streams in institutes of Higher Education enrolled in Graduate & Post-Graduate Courses for appearing in National Creativity Aptitude Test (NCAT 2019)

NCAT 2019 Important Dates

  • Last Date of Registration: 28th January 2019
  • Date of Round 1 Exam (at the College/Institute): 23rd February 2019
  • Result of Round 1 Exam: 08th April 2019
  • Date of Round 2 Exam (at Bangalore): 19th May 2019
  • Date of Round 2 Exam (at Ahmedabad): 02nd June 2019
  • Date of Round 2 Exam (at New Delhi): 09th June 2019
  • Declaration of Winners: 17th June 2019
  • College/Institute may postpone or prepone the date of Round 1 test by 7-10 days from actual date

 

Why National Creativity Aptitude Test?

  • The NCAT is designed to sensitize the students to the domain of creative thinking and motivate them to read, learn and practice the same. We also wish to establish that there is no known correlation between memory, logical abilities, linguistic talent and creativity.
  • NCAT may throw up a set of students who don’t seem to be the front-runners in the curricular subjects as creative geniuses and motivate them to sharpen their talent. We invite you to participate in this test.

 

Who Can Participate?

  • Category 1: Students of 1st Year B.Tech/B.Engg./B.Sc./BCA/B.Com./BBA
  • Category 2: Students of 2nd Year B.Tech/B.Engg./B.Sc./BCA/B.Com/BBA
  • Category 3: Students of 3rd Year B.Tech/B.Engg./B.Sc./BCA/BBA/B.Com. 3rd Year & 4th Year B.Tech/B.Engg
  • Category 4: Students of 1st & 2nd Year MBA/M.Sc./MCA/M.Tech

Structure of Test

  • The NCAT is open for students of engineering, management and science streams in institutes of higher education enrolled in graduate and post-graduate courses.
  • There will be separate tests for the students of different categories, in which student’s creative thinking and logical reasoning abilities will be tested. The test will be conducted in two phases
  • Round 1 will be conducted at the college end and two top performing students of each category from each college from round 1 will qualify for the next round of Test
  • Round 2 will be conducted at Delhi (New Delhi*). Apart from MCQs there will be subjective questions on creativity and an activity to assess the achievement motivation of the student
  • The medium of the objective test will be English

Round-1

  • The participants have to answer 100 multiple choice questions in 120 minutes. An additional 10 minutes will be given to the participants for filling up the information on the OMR answer sheet at the beginning of exam.

Section 1

  • Logical Reasoning – (20 questions)
  • Data Interpretation – (20 questions)
  • Pattern Recognition – (20 questions)

Section 2

  • Math – (20 questions)

Section 3

  • English – (20 questions)
  • One mark will be allotted for each right answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Students need to achieve the cut off score in sections 2 and 3, the however scores of both these sections shall not be included in the final score required to qualify for the 2nd round.
  • Exam Timing: 9:30 am to 11:30 am

Round 2
The participants have to answer 60 multiple choice questions with subjective questions testing creativity followed by an activity on achievement motivation.

  • Pattern Recognition – (20 questions)

Section 2

  • Subjective Questions on Creativity

Section 3

  • One activity on Achievement Motivation

Exam Timing: Exam will start at 11:00 am

 

Exam Fee

  • Students can enroll for the Test by paying Rs.300/- to their respective Faculty Coordinators or Dean of Students Welfare. Students are also requested to make any contacts regarding the test from their respective institutions only.

Awards & Accolades

  • For each category, winners will be declared and they will receive cash prize as mentioned below:
    • 1st Prize: Rs 25,000
    • 2nd Prize: Rs 15,000
    • 3rd Prize: Rs 10,000/- Top 15 Students from each category will be given a Residential Certificate Course of one week at New Delhi on Creativity and Innovation, Certification from IFEHE
  • All students securing more than 75% in the Round 1 test will get “Certificate of Excellence”
  • All others will get “Certificate of Participation”. Creative Institute Award will be given to one of the participating Colleges/Institutes on the basis of maximum number of Students in the top 10% from the College/Institute

 

How to Participate in NCAT 2019

  • Send single consolidated Demand Draft for the exam fee of all the students appearing for NCAT from your College/Institute after retaining the College/Institute share. Demand Draft should be drawn in favor of "IFEHE" payable at New Delhi
