SCIT Pune MBA Admission 2024 – Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology (SCIT) Pune invites application for admission to Master of Business Administration in Information Technology Business Management (MBA-ITBM) and Master of Business Administration – Data Sciences and Data Analytics (MBA – DS & DA) for the academic year 2024-25. Only those candidates who have registered for ‘SNAP 2023’ are eligible for the institute registration process.   • SNAP and Programme Registration Begins: August 23, 2023 (Wednesday)
  • Last date to apply for SNAP: November 23,2023 (Thursday)

Eligibility Criteria for SCIT Pune MBA Admission 2024

For MBA (ITBM)

  • Graduate from any recognised University/ Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes).

For MBA (DS & DA)

  • Graduate from any recognised University/ Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes).
  • Should have Mathematics Subject compulsory in 12th Standard
  • KM – Attested copy of Migration cert. duly signed by Relief Commissioner / Competent Authority.
  • DA – Candidate claiming reservation under this category shall submit the certificate from Competent Authority which should clearly state that the extent of the disability is not less than 40 % & disability is permanent in nature.
  • Candidates appearing for Final Year Bachelor’s Degree Examinations may apply but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).
  • All candidates applying against reservation seats must provide documentary proof as per requirements of Symbiosis International University (SIU).

 

Application Process

  • Interested candidates can apply online only through the official website https://www.scit.edu/
  • For seeking admission to the Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology students should complete the following procedure:

Step 1 –  Apply for Snap 2023

  • Visit: https://www.snaptest.org/ for register and pay online for Online SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) Examination, 2023.
  • Online SNAP 2023 test fee is INR 1950/- (+ applicable Payment gateway charges, GST and any other taxes).

Step 2 – Register for SCIT –  MBA 

  • While registering for SNAP, applicants has to also apply for SCIT in the same application form. A registration fee of Rs. 1000/- (+ applicable Payment Gateway Charges, GST and any other taxes) per programme is to be paid to SCIT for each programme that the aspirant wishes to apply.

Step 3 – Appear for GE PI WAT

  • This is mandatory, without which the applicant will not be considered for short-listing for the GE (Group Exercise) PI-WAT (Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test) process for the respective programme(s).
  • Preserve the Admit Card of SNAP Test 2023 for further selection process at SCIT. Appearing for the SNAP Test does not automatically qualify an applicant for the next step in the selection process at SCIT.

 

Application Fee

  • Institute application fee – Rs. 1000/- 
  • SNAP application fee – Rs. 1950/-

Selection Procedure

  • The Selection process is carried out in two steps.

Step I: SNAP Test

  • Each student desirous of admission to SCIT must appear for Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test 2023, which is a common written test for the admission to all Symbiosis postgraduate institutes.

Step II: Selection Process at SCIT

  • Short-listed Applicants based on SNAP scores will be called for the selection process at SCIT, Pune. Short listed candidates are announced on SCIT website www.scit.edu as per the scheduled dates. 
  • Shortlisted candidates must fill the Application Form and book the slot for GE-PIWAT. Individual regret letters will not be sent to applicants who are not called for GE-PIWAT. The entire process will be held at PUNE only.
  • The final merit score will be calculated based on SNAP score, Group Exercise, Personal Interview & Written Ability Test.
